As much as i enjoyed Lulu's interesting atitude in FFX, it goes to Tifa for one reason: Power. Lulu's fury is all well and good, but you dont see it's full potential until you get Break damage limit (which required dodging 200 lightnings!). Tifa, on the other hand, is very powerful, but only if you do some certain things with her. I like the Powersoul trick: the Powersoul gets stronger the closer to dying she is, so Near-death = X2 damage; Death-sentence = X4 damage. And with Deathblow, she can deal max damage on the first disc of ff7. in fact, the ff7 speedrun currently posted on Speed Demos Archive utilizes just this strategy.
This is a good, interesting fight. I just can't pick between them. But, what do you mean by "They could be compared other ways too, which are obvious"? Am I missing something here...? Jeppo (Talk | contribs) 22:34, April 8, 2010 (UTC)

To AnonyMan: stat-wise, Lulu has a sky-high Evasion stat. Loz would have missed.... And she would have retaliated with any of lotsa powerful spells. KujaRhapsodos 00:14, April 9, 2010 (UTC)
- That comment was in regards to Tifa, actually. Still Evasion don't mean squat when you can do that stupid quick step teleport and unless Lulu can instat cast there's nothing she can do from a teleport rabbit punch. Game, match. AnonyMan 00:22, April 9, 2010 (UTC)
Wow, another of my matches in the DNC. Now I have to think who to vote for. I love both of these girls equally. Damn, I made a hard choice this time. TheBlueDragoon 23:36, April 8, 2010 (UTC)
Just out of curiousity, why does it make you laugh TA? TheBlueDragoon 03:09, April 9, 2010 (UTC)
- The boobs. It's the boobs. On an unrelated note, I find it odd that my reasons for voting recently shifted from actual fighting ability to pretty much anything else. Lulu is actually one of the worst Black Mages in the series, with the exception of her Fury Overdrive. Tifa, on the other hand, is a monk. Firstly, monks are always badass. Secondly, she has access to more magic & abilities off the bat. Thirdly, she can perform SEVEN Limit Breaks in rapid succession...wow, how did I not notice that before? FFVII's Limit Break system is designed so that the characters have 7 Limit Breaks....Neo Bahamut 04:41, April 9, 2010 (UTC)
- Ultima Fury can OHKO pretty much anything - at the cost of almost all of Lulus MP if you don't have One MP Cost equipped. Tifa can without using a single MP execute 7(!) Limit Breaks in a row, with Fury she can also charge up a Limit Break almost instantly Uppfinnarn 07:00, April 9, 2010 (UTC)
- Uh, I thought Lulu could use her overdrive without MP or when under the influence of silence. And admittedly, Yuna made a better black mage than Lulu, (although that's probably because Lulu's celestial weapon is hell to get) And Tifa was pretty much never used in my team unless it was mandatory, only marginally more than Aerith. Mog&Boko 10:51 April 9, 2010
- Yes, Lulu's Overdrive doesn't use MP. And aside from that, getting No MP Cost isn't hard at all... Do that Chocobo racing stoff at Remiem temple to get 60 Three Stars (or hunt animals to get 99 of them at the Arena). You'll get No MP Cost before Ultima! But one shouldn't compare chacacters based on their Limit Breaks. It is THE most unbalanced thing in the games (maybe Knights of the Round...). Look at FFVIII. Limit Breaks kill. Are the characters the best because of that? Gameplay-wise maybe, but that's not the most important thing, is it? In FFIX, Amarant is useful, but I don't use him, because I don't like him. Yet, I use Quina. KujaRhapsodos 11:05, April 9, 2010 (UTC)
Yes, look at VIII, where Lionheart and Quick Shot can kill just about anything short of the Weapons instantly, compared to XII, where the Quickenings are total crap. There's no consistency in the damage, and while the capacity to chain 50 or more Limit Breaks in a row is interesting, it's nearly impossible (at least for everyone I've met). King Nothing Speak now, vermin! 11:40, April 9, 2010 (UTC)
The limit break system is far and wide, to bad not all of them are useful. And on FF XII, I've only been able to link about 20 or so quickenings together. And they still can't do much damage! Acrum92 14:10, April 9, 2010 (UTC)
- The key to the maximum damage for quickenings is not the biggest quickening chain possible, but to get always Luminiscence or Black Hole Concurences... Black Hole is pain in the ass to get, but the higher level you are, the easier it is to get it. If you try to not mash all the buttons as fast possible, and just pick only the quickenings with required charges for your desired Concurrence, you will get more damage with 9 chain combo and Luminescence, than with 25+ combo and Windburst or Cataclysm... MMLN メーマウリアン 14:29, April 9, 2010 (UTC)
What annoyed me about Lulu was that ruddy limit break of hers. My poor controller used to weep after I tried to twist the analogue thingy around alot!! Tifa's was hard to get right but that was more about timing than a strong hand ^_^ FinalFantasyAerith 14:13, April 9, 2010 (UTC)
I've usually had better luck with Lulu's than with Tifa's, actually. In VII, most, if not all characters have at least two or three good limits. In VIII, nearly everyone (Quistis is the only exception where I'm concerned) has very, very kick-ass limit breaks. In X, everyone but Wakka and Kimahri has at least one really powerful limit. And with regards to Quickenings, I'm not lucky enough to get Luminescence on anything resembling a regular basis, so I usually have to aim for Torrent or Ark Blast. King Nothing Speak now, vermin! 12:29, April 12, 2010 (UTC)
What's up with Gamer's vote? Number 9 for Lulu. Also, I laughed at BlueHighwind's vote. I actually get the reference :3!--DarkTriforce 20:00, April 9, 2010 (UTC)
- Gamer: it's called irony. He says the opposite of what is true. =D / What's the reference??? KujaRhapsodos
- It's from Monty Python and the Holy Grail when that king is forcing his creepy son to get married. He says "What's wrong with her? She's beautiful, wealthy, she's got huge....tracks of land!" Thats probably not verbatim but you get the point.--DarkTriforce 17:36, April 10, 2010 (UTC)
I'm starting to think this was a bad fight to suggest. Lulu is getting hammered. I thought it might have been a good idea, but this is a runaway. TheBlueDragoon 23:32, April 9, 2010 (UTC)
- Ehh every now and again there's a landslide but ah well ^_^ Lulu may get some more backers soon=? FinalFantasyAerith 00:09, April 10, 2010 (UTC)
- Eh, that's true. Last week's fight (also mine) started close and then Shadow took a huge lead near the end. At least its providing some entertainment. TheBlueDragoon 00:45, April 10, 2010 (UTC)
Dagnabbit, VII's going to win one. I wanted to make it a three-strikes-you're-out deal. Nokareon
- Maybe next "week" we could try Genesis vs. Kuja & you could see if you get your wish?Neo Bahamut 06:25, April 10, 2010 (UTC)
- It's not going to happen, since Genesis vs. Kuja was one of the April Fools Day fights. And since it was already put up, we can't use it again. A dirty trick by a certain admin, to be sure. - +DeadlySlashSword+ 20:49, April 10, 2010 (UTC)
- If we can do something as retarded as "silence vs. darkness," which we DID, we can actually do this fight seriously. I refuse to accept such a bullshit move as that as "finally doing the fight." Not in the slightest because most of these fights go on for like 3 weeks & that was only 1 day.75.224.1.1 21:57, April 10, 2010 (UTC)
Lulu is too much of a woman to be a black mage. Tifa is too much of a woman to be a monk? KujaRhapsodos 12:04, April 10, 2010 (UTC)
- I think the whole female thing just helps them out: Tifa can use her... chest... as a flail, and Lulu can shore extra mp in them. Problem solved! Likeacupcake 12:29, April 10, 2010 (UTC)
- Dammit, you're right! 1) Tifa can use punches and kicks. That, everyone knows. But, she can also do a surprise all-out attacks with her chest.... The opponent wouldn't resist! 2) Lulu must have had a special magical device implanted in each one of her friends. Better magical power and better distraction over her enemies. Maybe that is why her evasion stat is so high.... Her boobs.... KujaRhapsodos 12:55, April 10, 2010 (UTC)
I actually managed to chain 56 Quickenings in a row at a HP Critical Ahriman, the total power was enough to OHKO even a full-HP Ahriman! Uppfinnarn 12:54, April 10, 2010 (UTC)
- 56? 56 is unreacheable to all players most of the time, and unreacheable to most players all the time. Congrats! But I can't do it..... KujaRhapsodos 12:57, April 10, 2010 (UTC)
To Oglop Master, about "We all know who will win all of these." If that's so, then explain how Yuffie, a VII character, lost to Shadow, a VI character? King of Noobs 23:34, April 10, 2010 (UTC)
- No, I mean to say that Shadow was the one that was obviously going to win. Same with Arcadia and Kuja. It's all too predictable. Sorry if I didn't clarify that. The only reason that Tifa is winning is because she has bigger boobs and fanboys can pair her instead of Lulu, who's married. Oglop Master 19:44, April 10, 2010 (UTC)
- What kind of bullshit logic is that? "Tifa is winning because she has bigger boobs?" What is this, high school? Tifa is probably winning because she has a much larger fanbase, and she has much better character development than Lulu, and may the gods of Spira forgive me for saying that, because I hate the majority of the Compilation. Its not predictable all the time either. I expected Yuffie to win last week's fight, and I expected a tie in Leviathan versus Phoenix. The DNC is only predictable in certain fights. TheBlueDragoon 00:41, April 11, 2010 (UTC)
- From past experience, I expect middle school behaviour and logic from the VII fandom. Why do you think Tifa has a larger fanbase? I don't really care about what you think about Tifa; I'm simply posting my own opinion. I just don't understand why every single person who likes Final Fantasy VII must jump onto each of my posts. Is my opinion honestly that debatable, or am I just insufferable online when posting about VII? Whichever it is, I'd like to know. But this doesn't much pertain to the current topic. I wasn't speaking of the Leviathan vs. Phoenix fight, either. That does not specifically involve VII. And the fights with VII are quite predictable. Oglop Master 21:59, April 10, 2010 (UTC)
- It's because your posts are just so hilariously wrong. For example: "Just do a fight with VII vs. The Rest of the FF Series and get it over with. We all know who will win all of these." Except for this [1], this [2], this [3] and (excuse me, I vomited in my mouth a little after this one) this [4]. In fact, looking back through the archived fights, it looks like FFVII has lost more fights than it's won. Masamune
- I don't think that's what he meant... <_< KujaRhapsodos 21:20, April 11, 2010 (UTC)
- Oglop Master: You can't imply that Tifa has a larger fanbase because of her large chest. By that logic the fight between her and Lulu would be far more even. Honestly, if breast size was the origin of her fanbase, then those people would probably go for Lulu before her, as I would say Lulu has more sizable cans. Rasenshinko 16:31, April 11, 2010 (CST)
- Kuja is right. What you said is exactly what I meant, Masamune. The rest of the FF games win out over VII nine times out of ten, and people need to just accept that fact and move on, which means not posting fifty VII fights. And for Rasenshinko, I beg to differ. Although I do not spend my time ogling the breasts of certain Final Fantasy characters, it's pretty easy to tell who is larger when you have two girls thrusting their chests in your face every time you win a battle. Lulu simply wears a lower-cut outfit, and if you've only watched Advent Children, it's easy to make a mistake. Oglop Master 18:24, April 11, 2010 (UTC)
I could be wrong, but isn't it time for a change? TheBlueDragoon 06:44, April 12, 2010 (UTC)

- Let's hope they pick my fight! ShirubaKurono 21:21, April 13, 2010 (UTC)
- Or one of the other good fights! (COUGHAERITHVERSUSYUNAEXCALIBURVERSUSMASAMUNE) TheBlueDragoon 00:43, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
- Considerin' Oglop's hatred of the last few rounds, one of the Weapon Fights sounds like a better idea. Keep him quiet, keep him happy. King of Noobs 04:04, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
- That does sound like a good idea. Or maybe Behemoth versus Malboro. TheBlueDragoon 05:13, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
- Why should we have to cater to a little kid who can't keep his pants on because of a few popularity contests? 20:33, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
- You raise a very valid point. Bring on Sazh versus Barret! TheBlueDragoon 21:11, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
- XD That would be the most awesome fight since EVAH!! 21:19, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
- It would be a good one. I already know who I'd vote for too. TheBlueDragoon 23:01, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
As I expected. Tifa is winning by a landslide (At least, at the time of this writing; there can always be change). --A.J. two 16:32, April 13, 2010 (UTC)
- Since it's so very likely that lulu would get over 30 votes the last hours before the change -.- Uppfinnarn 07:02, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
- I know that Tifa is going win, and I contributed to that win by voting for her. The way I see it, the only way for Lulu to win, is by every of her voters either making new accounts and voting again, or making multiple anonymous votes in her favorl not that they would or should. --A.J. two 15:53, April 15, 2010 (UTC)
Shouldn't there be a new fight by now? Uppfinnarn 16:17, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
- There should be one up today, if TA is on track. TheBlueDragoon 20:15, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
And to think I was actually going to create an account and vote in the next battle... Then they come out with battle of the big tits. No thank you.
- It's not a battle of big tits, it's a battle of popularity, in which both parts happens to have big tits Uppfinnarn 19:08, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
- There's nothing wrong with a battle of big tits. A lot of people liked this fight. Look at the discussion it generated. Sorry you didn't like it. TheBlueDragoon 20:15, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
- I don't mean to ridicule anyone here, but this fight is kinda pointless. It was gonna be an OBVIOUS landslide towards VII and don't the rules say "no landslide fights"? I have nothing against the characters themselves, but pitting TIFA against someone from X? Whoever decided to choose this fight for the week did a bad job... No hard feelings, eh? 1stclasswarrior 12:38, April 15, 2010 (UTC)
- Then blame TA for choosing it and me for suggesting it. It was a good fight, and there is not a rule like that as far as I know. TheBlueDragoon 18:49, April 15, 2010 (UTC)
- But you have to give some fights a chance, ok, you are right about this one being a landslide, but sometimes, it's really awesome seeing the underdog win....not necessarily saying that I will always vote for the underdog seeing as who I voted for. >_> Judge Balthier 18:52, April 15, 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, you're right Judge Balthier. This one was a landslide, but half the fights in the DNC are. I just hate when people start that crap. "Whoever suggested this did a bad job." Yeesh, sorry for trying. >> TheBlueDragoon 19:19, April 15, 2010 (UTC)
- If everyone wants to tread on eggshells about landslide fights then why should we bother having the DNC? Continuous landlslides would be no fun but why should we suggest any fights incase there is one? If you really don't like it don't bother coming on here and voting or put up and shut up. FinalFantasyAerith 19:34, April 15, 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you. Some one who understands. Landslides are bound to happen. Just like any kind of poll/election/race/voting of any kind, landslides are inevitable. Its like saying we shouldn't have a president in case of a landslide vote. It makes no sense to complain about it. TheBlueDragoon 19:47, April 15, 2010 (UTC)
- I felt like I had to put my 2 pennies worth in >.< People who moan about things like that really irritate me lol. I thought it was an awesome suggestion :) FinalFantasyAerith 20:00, April 15, 2010 (UTC)
- Who thinks I should put my Ramza vs Basch fight again, huh :)? ---- TenzaZangetsu This is our year... April 15 2010 (UTC)
- Aerith, thank you. ^^ Tenza I remember that fight. It was a very good one. If I remember correctly, it was Ramza winning, but very close. TheBlueDragoon 20:32, April 15, 2010 (UTC)
