Uwee hee hee hee! Welcome, editors, to the Dragon's Neck Colosseum! My name is Ultros the receptionist, and I'm taking bets as to who will win in a tussle between two characters from the Final Fantasy series! The winner gets, well, nothing. It's more of a poll, really. The Colosseum owner stuck me on this duty after Kefka was defeated, but I need the money! So what are you waiting for? Get voting! Remember, you can remain anonymous!
DNC Moderators
The DNC is run by committee. If you have any questions regarding DNC rules, please contact one of the following people: Deadlyslashsword, ScatheMote, and Jimcloud. Last Man Standing
Last Man Standing is a spinoff of the original Dragon's Neck Colosseum. It is a fight between the previous victor of Last Man Standing and victor of the previous DNC fight. It occurs every other week; in other terms, it happens when the normal DNC fights are not going on. It has the same rules as the normal fights, with a few exceptions:
- If the two opponents tie, the both characters will be retired, and two new fighters will appear.
- If a character wins 5 Last Man Standing fights in a row, he or she will be retired from LMS and two new battlers will vie for the coveted champion spot.
- Sometimes a previous Last Man Standing champion may be revived to fight against the current champion. This will happen if the previous DNC winner is incompatible with LMS (i.e. if the previous winner was a game mechanic, a summon, or an enemy) or for special celebrations.

Welcome to Garnet's final Last Man Standing bout, everyone! For her championship in Last Man Standing, she must first defeat fan favorite challenger Rydia! Which of these two powerful summoners will win the day and bring this championship to a close? Will it be the summoner who was orphaned and raised by royalty? Or the summoner who was orphaned and raised by Eidolons? Who will be the Last Summoner Standing?

Peanut GalleryThat incomparable feeling when you wake up from sleep and realize you still haven't updated the DNC. It was just one of those days. Are Sundays always like that? I digress. Jimcloud 08:49, February 24, 2014 (UTC)

Week 287: Hope v. Rydia
VICTOR Rydia 12 to 16 |
Here we have two characters who lost their mothers early in the game and are forced to deal with that loss. Both blame certain party members for their mothers' deaths but eventually warm up to the party (somewhat literally in Rydia case. Y'know with the whole thing about the fire spell…never mind).
Actually, that's sorta a depressing topic. Alright, I'll amend it slightly. Hope v. Rydia, the battle of questionable fashion choices! Will the strangely patterned shirt or the weird metal scarf tights thing win? Which will be the last article of clothing standing? Wait, this isn't a round of Last Man Standing. Oh well, the statement still stands. |

Peanut GalleryThe more I stare at Hope's picture, the more I think he looks like someone at my job... Not sure if I should find that fascinating or be a little freaked out. King of Noobs 21:28, February 17, 2014 (UTC)
@AnonyMan: No one can be Pascal but Pascal. The world can only handle so much of someone like THAT. King of Noobs 02:27, February 18, 2014 (UTC) If this was going to be a contest about clothes, we should have called Lulu. How she manages to put all those belts is still a mystery for me. P.S.:Talking about clothes, I'd like to say to anyone that is not aware of it: there is a contest in the Fashion Wikia talking about our beloved characters clothing, which can be acessed by this page. They're choosing the best dressed FF character, and are on nomination stage now; the movement there is very low until now (I think they would appreciate our participation). Week 286: Last Man Standing Round 55: Garnet v. Eiko
CHALLENGER GARNET FINAL FANTASY IX VICTORY 12 to 4 |
LAST MAN STANDING |
CHALLENGER EIKO FINAL FANTASY IX DEFEAT 12 to 4
In this match, defending champion Garnet takes on fellow Gaian summoner Eiko in a match to determine the true summoner/white mage of the party. (And possibly also to determine the victor in the love triangle with Zidane.) Spells and Eidolons are likely to fly in this match between the ladies. Who will win, the Summoner with a side of White Mage, or the White Mage with a side of Summoner? Who will be the Last Man Standing?

Peanut GalleryThat incomparable feeling you get when you lay down to go to sleep and realize you still haven't updated the DNC. 'M gonna just go wish myself to sleep right now... Jimcloud 06:56, February 10, 2014 (UTC) "Spells and Eidoleons are going to be flying around during this match." Since when has an aim of a battle been to heal your opponent? (Yes, I know about the spell Holy, and how it is offensive white magic) but most white magic is healing magic. TMG- Why? (talk) 08:31, February 10, 2014 (UTC)
Good Point. That's true. I would love to see this fight in real life now. I think Garnet would win, due to having Bahamut and Odin (In order to spam Zantetsuken :D ) Yes, Eiko has more white magic, so can heal herself, but she cannot heal an instant death attack... Week 285: Eiko v. Kimahri
VICTOR Eiko 12½ to 9 |
Horns.
Did you know that Aristotle had one of the first mentions of unicorns? He was actually describing a kind of antelope, which very much has two horns. Maybe if you look at it from the wrong angle, but even then you'd have to be pretty nearsighted. Of course, Aristotle wasn't actually there and was just describing what he had heard, which was all certainly total lies. In addition, even though the unicorn is obviously fictitious, the unicorn is the national animal of Scotland. It's not the only mythological creature to be the national animal; the national animal of Bhutan is Druk the Thunder Dragon, who, while also sounding seriously awesome, is also featured on its flag. He doesn't have a horn, though. Oh right, I was talking about horns. Two characters have horns. They butt heads. But who will win? |

I noticed that if kimarhi happens to win this, it will be a battle of people who lost their horns Pzykosiz (talk) 10:59, February 5, 2014 (UTC) Is it just me, or is everyone feeling pretty horny around here? I know, it's bad, but someone had to say it ;) TMG- Why? (talk) 06:53, February 6, 2014 (UTC)
@Free Bird- Yes! Someone gets it. A lot of people kind of gloss over those facts about him.AnonyMan (talk) 12:56, February 6, 2014 (UTC) That is one of the best intros for a fight I have seen.Squallisnotemo (talk) 04:09, February 7, 2014 (UTC) |
