Votes for Red XIII
- Blue': Red, easy day. Better character from a better game.
- BlueHighwind: Red XIII wins because he is the intellectual superior.
- What BH said. Plus, Red>Blue. --Gamer2127
- RED XIII!!!!! I think that's the least coherent DNC vote I've ever made. 8bit 22:29, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'm voting for him even though I also like Kimahri. BlueLionheart 23:01, 18 September 2008 (UTC)BlueLionheart
- Yumino
- RogueTomato My vote is for Red XIII. He's one of my favorite characters.
- Lockhart - Woo! My second suggestion that made it to the DNC! Woo! Anyways, gotta go with Nanaki.
- Red XIII kicks all kinds of ass.--Oranejo 00:32, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
- Red XIII isn't a cat, but he is bad-ass. Drake Clawfang
- Vermandois Red was one of the few characters I could stand in 7. Plus, he just looks awesome.
- Real Genius. Red is much, much smarter than Kimahri and has better limits. Kimahri has to Overdrive just to use blue magic.
- Faethinverba volant :Nanaki was the most interesting character in FFVII.
- Duh (5) --SCM
- Nanaki, hands down. He's my best character in FFVII. --Tex HOWDY!!! 04:08, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
- Tragedian Red XIII is definitely the coolest feline in all the FF series.
- Fuck Kimhari! Tidus and the others should of listened to Seymour and killed Kimhari to save their asses. Because of that, we all have to fight Seymour Flux. Stupid bastard! Red XIII is AWESOME! Squallinoa 08 04:23, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
- ChaosEsperVII Red because although he got no love in AC or DC, he is smarter and can maul you to pieces. Plus 500 yrs later, he does not look like something you want to mess with.
- Dark Raven: Kimahri sucks.
- Skoot85 Nanaki. Although it was weird when they were explaining that Nanaki's real name was Nanaki but wtv.
- RIhya - That was an easy choice... Red is one of the coolest characters in FFVII, has some great Limit Breaks, and a cool background story... Plus, as someone said already, 500 years later he looks fuckin' badass!
- Ameria My Vote Goes Here.
- Yzz Definitely Nanaki, completely hands down on this one. He has a much better story than Kimarhi, and I personally think he's more useful/fun in battle. Plus, dude, it's like... RED XIII!
- Dancing Daggers Unlike Kimahri, Red XIII was NOT a completely useless party member.
- Kami strife I'm sorry, Kimahri, but I gotta side with Nanaki on this one. Kimahri's cool, but Nanaki's just badass.
- OwlEye Smart animals beat stupid people
- ChiefKakashi: Because Red's just better.
- Red XIII was my first favorite character in the whole series. He's amazing, and plus he almost was subject to tran-species-reproduction... I think we ought to give him a hand! CinnaMan
- RedCapGo Red XIII He is awesome
- Chocobo Knight: I like both, but I like Red more. End of. And also, I'm annoyed Red hasn't didn't get more of a speaking role in AC and DoC.
- dudutsai: Kimarhi was so useless.... and Red XIII was cool
- UVS: Let me see here: one of the few animal characters in the history of the series, looks cool and Kimhari doesn't sound too much of a dragoon and looks too mystic even for me. So my vote goes to Red XIII
- DB
- Murasame77:I like 'em both but Nanaki always was and still is one of my favourite fighters.
- Maverick Riot: I like both too, but just Red a little bit more. If they were to take Red out of FFVII, and Kimahri out of FFX, I'd miss Red XIII a lot, lot more.
- BritBoy: I also like both but Red was my fav FFVII character, he was the oldest and smartest member of the group and he was a voice of reason, plus Cosmo Memory was an awesome Limit Break, plus he had a British voice actor in AC (even though he had like one line - wtf?!)
- Terra_Homing: He was in my original ff7 party and his limit was the one that killed Safer Sephiroth, of course I'm going to vote for Nanaki!
- Ultima The High Seraph Red XII alll the way
- Goldberry2000: The game may be over-fanboyed, but this is one character that makes the game. The backstory for XIII was brilliant and he was one of those characters that I always regretted not keeping in my party, but that ultimately got replaced by Cid once he became available. No cheap FFX character was ever going to win against him.
- Rocking Chair I used Red XIII more then once
- Sora G. Strife: Nanaki rocks.
- MardukKurios: Right after you get him his is my second Party member until the end of the game. He is strong in Attack and Magic and something special! x3
- AvaGirl: Kimahri SUCKS. :P
- Blykus: I like both characters, but my vote goes to Red XIII for nostalgia's sake.
- Masamune: The easiest decision I've made all day. Yes, deciding to have Coke or water with lunch was harder than this. (I went with water, by the way. It's healthier.)
- Theentertainer: This is so one sided I'm surprised this made it through the suggestion filter. NANAKI RULES!!
- Mr_Darkside:Red wins hands down!
- SilverSummoner: Red XIII got more IQ and Vocabulary than Kimahri...
- Sinh
- Black Mage Zemekis
- BornfromDarkness: Uh, really? 22:23, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

- RedXIII isn't particularly my favorite character, but I do love FFVII. Also, Kimahri fails at whatever he chooses to be compared to the original counterpart (like Tidus' or Lulu's part of the sphere grid). I would have chosen kimahri if would be more like a red mage of the FFX party (having all of their skills available to him). ^-^
- Well, Nanaki gets my vote. I find his problem with his father very interesting, and to learn the truth after going through the cave, I really liked it. And besides, I like the Cosmo Canyon song and its variations, Great Warrior and Red XIII's Theme.
- I like Nanaki. He is like we never had seen in any other Final Fantasy. Also he is very kind and relieable. And Im always thinking that it must be tough for him, surviving all of his friends and comrades...;.;
- I love FVII so i love Red XIII. I like also FFX but Kimahri SUCKS!!!
- I´m like in love with FFVII, and Nanaki(red XII)is so awsome but i like kimahri too but Nanaki his cooler in some ways xD
- Nanaki kicks all non Moggle playable animal characters.
- It's cat. That can talk. And anything else that any human can do. Or more. Need I say more?
- my favourite line after the intense retelling of cloud's 'past' while everyone leaves kalm all disturbed and stressed 'what a nice story' :P oh and the bit where he found seto's statue in the cave made me cry a little so he wins
- He's the only non-human character (besides Vivi of course) that has managed to make me weep. Infact his story was one of the most emotionally affecting of FF7. Kimhari was... just a bit dull to be honest, he spends most of the game with a frown on his face whilst Red manages to express character and you actually care about what happened to him in his past. Red may not be the most human looking of the two, but his emotions and character development make Kimhari look as human as a potato
- As if anyone from FFX matters. 65.189.222.216 00:24, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
- Kimhari is the most useless blue mage ever. So my vote goes to Nanaki.
- I'm tied of everyone saying Kimhari is a great blue mage, okay maybe, but this is FFVII anyone can be what ever you want the to be. Add enemy skill materia to Red XIII and there he's a blue mage and a far better one too. Besides Red rocks :)

Votes for Kimahri
- Henryacores^ - Me like Kimahri. Kimhari no cub. Kimhari strong.
- Aleria I'm voting for Kimahri partially because I feel bad for him 'cause everyone's going to vote for Nanaki/Red XIII... and partially because I'm finally playing FFX.
- Arcanedude34 I used Kimahri more... Red XII shone when he was first introduced and in Cosmo Canyon... then forgotten for the rest of the game almost... At least Kimahri had a purpose to be in the group besides his grandfather telling him to...
- Deadlyslashsword: Let the rage of the Ronso guide Kimahri's spear.
- Aruki I'm gonna have to side with Kimahri on this one.
- Unlike Red XIII, Kimahri was NOT a completely useless party member.--Zephyrus11 05:10, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
- --AnonyMan 04:10, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
- DVardonir: I'm voting for Kimhari because I'm not voting for Anakin, I mean Nanaki.
- Duh Steve C // talk // email // 11:01, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
- HELLO! WHITE WIND! MIGHTY GUARD! BAD BREATH!!!!! I know Red can use these but so can anyone in FF7. Kimahri is INVALUABLE! Lord Eliwood 17:54, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
- Pikmin Master: Who needs to get hit with Blue Magic if you can just steal it using a draining move? Kimahri is thus better than someone who needs a sphere to end up getting hit for Blue Magic, err...Enemy Skills.
- Charles-leonhart: Kimahri would definitely win. He has posable thumbs. He is also blue and that is my favorite color. but putting that aside I believe He is way more useful than red XIII.
- -Alarielle-: Kimahri juste is cooler, more useful than red XIII. At least he has useful special abilities (blue magic…)
- -CosmicWizardAshley-: I like Kimahri more. He isn't useless in battle like Red's voters say, and its because of the versatility of the sphere grid system which means kimahri will only suck if you make him sucky. Plus, Nova is a pretty awesome thing to learn xD
- Mr. Rojo: well i like both, both are powerfull and useful if you work them. But since Kimahri is losing i will go with him.
- Krystal: Kimahri rules! Enough said.
- I feel that Kimahri had better character development. I became more concerned with Kimahri than I did with XIII's character. Deoxyribose
- Red and Kimari are my favorite characters in the series and its tough choosing between them, but seeing as kimari is losing im gonna give him a hand, and all the people calling kimari dumb, um how many of you have helped save the world from a giant flying whale whos your friends dad, please speak up....oh none of you...i mean i can wait if someones mouth is full...still none okay, so shut up okay Eternal Twilight
- Vestras - Kimahri gets my vote only because I actually found him useful in battle. It's not much, but it's enough of an edge.
- Rydiaofmist: I like Kimahri. He was extremely devoted to Yuna. Also, I have a soft spot for victims of bullying. And for the record, I don't think that Kimahri was stupid at all. He just came from a different race that had a different way of speaking.
- FinalAnnihilator: I loved FFX more than anything, even though FFVII was, even the best of Square's games, so my vote goes to Kimahri Ronso! Kimahri is also pretty "cool" even though he's a Ronso, and my favourite quote is: "Save some for Kimahri!" before you fight Seymour in Gagazet!!
- CidTheFirst: If you know how to guide him on a sphere grid he can tear it up.
- Master Conjurer: Pitiful Red XIII! Howl alone! Howl alone!

- I think Kimahri would win hands down. Because anything Red XIII can do Kimahri can do as well, not to mention all of Kimahri's powers he has anyway, Kimahri would easily win.... as long as he doesn't use self-destruct
- I like Nanaki, but Kimahri just had more use in battle for me. Besides, I love Blue Mages for the challenge of getting all their techniques. :)
- A pity vote plain and simple even though FFVII is going to run away with another colosseum fight for no reason.
- This is basically a matter of FF7 vs FF10. FF7 wins. Always will. Poor Blue Cat thing.
- Gotta go with Kimarhi on this one. Red man have been the original kickass cat-thing, but nothing he just doesn't carry the same weigh in fighting to me as Kimarhi did, especially the fight against Biran and Yenke. - Musashi
- Kimahri speak funny. 'Nuff said.
- His overdrives can be spammed actually. With the right combination , kimahri can actually spam nova each random encounter eviscerating every enemy with 99999 damage for easy training. Kimahri no useless. lolz.
- Kimahri is pretty awesome ^^ Nothing against red, but the boy in blue wins hands down.
- Kimahri may no speak well but he's not an idiot, and he's certain one of the only bearable(and coolest) characters in FFX. Plus he's got Blue Magic that's awesome. Also you can't deny that his personal event on Gagazet or whatever wasn't badass.
- I like Khimari although he didn't have a big role in FFX.

Why was the last fight a draw? Agrias clearly won, even if it is by only one vote. BlueLionheart 23:01, 18 September 2008 (UTC)BlueLionheart
- Ties may be called if the victor won by a margin of 10% or less. 8bit 23:19, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'm getting sick of these ties. If this fight ends in a tie, next weak TacticAngel should put a fight between Vivi and Umaro to break this ugly streak. --BlueHighwind 23:25, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
- Third time's the charm? Someone will actually win one day. --Gamer2127 23:34, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
- Heh, Balthier V. Vaan Cloudofdarkness ^_^
- Those are the rules, much as I would prefer Agrias to have won, again. As for the rule, as stated previously, it is in the community's best interest. -- T·A·C·T·I·C·A·N·G·E·L
- This one will be a landslide anyway. --SCM 03:59, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
Just wanna say, Red XIII - I firmly believe he's a reference to Japanese "yokai". You don't believe me, read up on Wikipedia and tell me, especially considering how anime portrays yokai - humanoid animals, sentient, supernatural, long-lived, etc. Drake Clawfang
I'm gonna have to hold off on voting for now. This is definitely a tough call. Deoxyribose
Ugh... this fight sucks. Red XIII is clearly much better than Kimahri, but then, everyone else is clearly much better than Red XIII. What I'm saying is that this fight is kinda low-brow when compared to some of the other colosseum fights. Dancing Daggers
- Not necessarily. Kimahri was trained as a warrior. Red XIII rams your face. It seems even, seeing as Red XIII probably learned fighting from his father as a pup or something. Or are you just saying this because you just don't like Kimarhi? Otens
- Hardly anyone consider's the DNC to be a real fight. --Gamer2127 01:04, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
- I don't like Red,but I like Kimahri even less. Ergo my opinion is that Red is the better of the two. I just think that neither character has much going for them; it's not an interesting fight, unlike the Black Mage-White Mage fight a couple of weeks ago. Dancing Daggers
P.S. This is a "colosseum", therefore I consider the poll to be a "fight".
charles-leonhart I hate that so many people vote for a character just because they were in final fantasy 7.
Rocking Chair I actually have nothing to vot3ew either of them on. I couldnt really care about either of them. Both have worse then them (Rikku and Cait Sith) but both never really had much going for them.
Deadlyslashsword I wish people would stop calling Kimahri dumb just because he doesn't speak in complete sentences. HE'S NOT HUMAN, OKAY? His speaking is not going to be perfect. Besides, he's smart enough to learn blue magic, isn't he?
- No. Chewbacca is not stupid because he can't speak English. He's a Wookie, and is physically incapable of speaking human languages. Kimahri on the other hand is perfectly capable of proper speech, but is too stupid to learn how. Maester Kelk Ronso can talk like an intelligent creature, why can't Kimahri? Because Kimahri is an idiot, that's why. --BlueHighwind 01:40, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
- Kelk is an exception. I'm pretty sure all the other Ronso but him speak like Kimahri does. That doesn't prove he's stupid, and he's never shown as being stupid either. Given Kimahri's character why would he bother with speaking properly. You no need speak good to be cool as hell, look at Quina. AnonyMan
- I don't think using Quina as an example is going to help prove your point. I liked Quina, but judging by other people's user pages he/she/it is probably one of the most hated characters in the series. --Oranejo 02:50, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
- I know, it sucks. There are people out there who are enlightened and respect Quina, though...just not alot. AnonyMan
- Yet Quina is an idiot as well. But he's/she's a member of a species of evil greedy freaks with the brain capacity of a 2-year-old. So it isn't Quina's fault that he/she is a fucking dunce. It is Kimahri's fault though. --BlueHighwind 13:11, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
- Quina's not the sharpest tool in the shed, but she'll school you in the Culinary arts. Stop acting like Ronso are a super advance race, they aren't that different from Qu's actually, except differing values. Since all the other ronso talk like Kimahri they all must be idiots too, huh? AnonyMan
- Apparantly not: Kelk Ronso, for example. Most Ronso may be genetically inclined towards being idiots, but they are not all stupid. Kimahri happens to be a member of the low end of a low species. --BlueHighwind 20:40, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
- And yet Auron entrusts Yuna to him? Sorry but I'm going to have to side with Auron on this one. I'm pretty sure he knew what he was doing. Not to mention- The ability to learn blue magic = Not dumb. - Deadlyslashsword
- I don't think Kimahri's speech is indicative of stupidity. It's just the manner in which Ronso speak. Kelk is the exception as he is a Maester, and is likely obligated to speak in a more formal manner. Deoxyribose
- Oh come on. Kimahri isnt stupid. He plays the quiet aggressive looking character. Kinda like batman. but more animalistic.Charles-leonhart
- Although I don't like Kimahri, Yoda doesn't speak in complete sentences. End of Conversation. And Red XIII shouldn't be capable of talking yet he does. But the ronsos aren't stupid they're just primitive. But Red XIII is smarter than any Ronso. And yes this is a matter between ff7 and ffx because cast of main game FFVII>insert name. ChaosEsperVII
- 1. The ability to learn Blue Magic does not equate to intelligence (Quina, Yuffie, Cait Sith, Bartz). 2. Auron most likely entrusted Yuna to Kimahri not for the Wookie's smarts, but for the fact that he's a six foot beast man. Would you fuck with a six foot beast man? I would, but that doesn't really prove anything. 3. Yoda speaks in completely sentences, just insideout. --BlueHighwind 12:11, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- That is true, therefore ronsos= not too bright. ChaosEsperVII
- 1. Yeah, 'cause learning something doesn't take any ability whatsoever. Plus, Bartz wasn't dumb, just naive (And no, they're not the same thing). Oh, and I see you didn't include Quistis on your list? End of argument. 2. Brain over brawn, as the saying goes. 'Nuff said. Try basing your arguments on anything other than speculation next time. 3. I'll agree with you on this one. Still, not being able to talk correctly has no direct correlation to your intelligence. If Albert Einstein had a major speech impediment, would you call him dumb? According to what I've seen here, you would. - Deadlyslashsword
- Kimahri's smart enough to have a method of obtaining Blue Magic without getting his ass hit with the first. And I think you're confusing Ignorance and plain stupidity or just hate Kimahri so much you don't want to say anything nice about him. Anyway point is, you can't guage someone's intelligence on how they speak. AnonyMan
- Guys, Kimahri is smart but he wasn't taught 'language' he was taught how to fight and survive(Also, Ronso history but does that matter really?) Do you guys really enjoy arguing to make a meaningless point about a character? Otens
- No, we argue because we all think we're right. Just like any other fucking argument. - Deadlyslashsword
- I know for a fact that I'm wrong. But I just like bashing Kimahri. --BlueHighwind 00:30, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- Acquiring abilities does not equate to intellect either. Kimahri is just whatever. I'm bashing him so we can have stupid arguments again. Plan worked. The 7th Chaos Esper pwns. ChaosEsperVII
- Good enough for me.Enjoy// Otens
- For the record, I don't like Kimahri either, but if you two seriously enjoy antagonizing us for the sake of arguing...whatever. Nothing I say is going to stop you from doing it. Just don't mess with me. Then I'll have a problem. - Deadlyslashsword
- Newb. ChaosEsperVII
- Not in the slightest. - Deadlyslashsword
- Belly button picker. ChaosEsperVII
- Oh, real mature. How old are you, five? - Deadlyslashsword
Red XIII's an Idiot because he follows someone like Cloud Strife around. The rest of the VII cast must not be too bright either since they do so too and let him lead. Haha! Anony
- Don't forget that Barret often complains about that. He wanted to be the leader. And Tifa and Aeris are apparently blinded by love, so they aren't thinking too clearly. Red XIII may be 48, but he's the equivalent of a 15 or 16 year old, so the judgment part of his brain hasn't developed yet. Vincent is too into himself to care. Cid...Wait, why doesn't Cid take charge? Huh...Anyway, Cait Sith and Yuffie are just too stupid too live. --ChiefKakashi 21:30, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- I see. Yeah, I agree. FFVII's crew for the most part blows huge chunks. AnonyMan
- And we are hating the FFVII party why? Because you guys probably don't use them properly? Maybe if the remake comes out they won't be as dumb? Or maybe you guys need to look up the plotline a little more carefully? Krystal Tomlin
- That argument makes no sense, as FFVII's characters are nearly identical in terms of function in battle. The same does not apply in FFX until the end of the game. In any case, being an FFVII anti-fanboy is just as annoying as being an FFVII fanboy. Deoxyribose
- Hey, I said for the most part, there's a small number of good characters same with X's party. Not everyone dislikes FFVII for the sake of disliking FFVII I like it more than FFX. AnonyMan
- the only good characters are Auron, Tidus, and Yuna. And Wakka and rikku are only useful for overdrives, but wakka is annoying so i used rikku more. In the beginning, everyone has their uses, but towards the end the first three are the best. In VII, all the fighters are balanced except Cloud, Tifa, Vincent, and Aeris. Cid is the epitome of balanced. the rest are still useful anyways: Barret for power, tanking, and limits; Yuffie for power and magic; Red XIII for power and magic; and Cait Sith for tanking, power, and magic. I'd say VII and VIII's casts are the most useable. I guess XII's as well because they are all the same. ChaosEsperVII
- Hey, don't get me wrong, I love the FFVII party! (Especially Tifa) That's why I'm making excuses for them. :P --ChiefKakashi 21:16, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'm looking forward to XIII's party, from the looks of it, XIII and Versus could have one of the better casts of characters. ChaosEsperVII
- FFXIII's definitely going to be a kick ass cast. Just look at Lightning in the trailers! I really want to see the rest of the cast, though. So far we only have three :( I hope there's more! I don't like it when there's only a few main characters, like the early games <.< Yzz 15:48, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
- Smae here, especially if the few characters suck. I hope there's more characters, Lightning and the other 2 are pretty lame to me. Then again I stopped having high hopes for casts after FFX(XII surprised me), who knows though, maybe XIII could have my second favorite FF cast. AnonyMan
The score's 56 to 28, it's obvious who's gonna win, can we end this yet? --SCM 22:27, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
