How to Suggest a Fight

Any registered user can suggest a fight. Fights should be added to the bottom of the page. They must be signed and they must be dated. Fights may be removed anytime, depending on whether or not they are acceptable. As a general rule, do not suggest 'Final Fantasy A vs Final Fantasy B' or any character versus a real or fictional character from outside the Final Fantasy universe. Below is a sample of code that should make creating suggestions easier.

File:FF8Raijin.jpg File:Wakka artwork.jpg

Votes Against

  1. While I like the idea you're trying to put forward, there is a major problem with it. You're asking people to intentionally vote FOR the character they find more annoying/like less. But you know that a large fraction of people are going to vote FOR the character that they like more, so the results will be completely unintelligible. Unless TA or someone else is willing to go through the votes and reallocate them so that the votes end up being consistently for who is liked more, or for who is more annoying, this fight makes no sense. Yrl 03:31, July 28, 2010 (UTC)
  2. ^^. Very unnecessary. None of them are liked much. DWT 1:06, July 29, 2010 (UTC)

Comments

Okay so I think this fight is a good one because both of these characters are support/comic relief and frankly annoying. They're big, beefy and dumb, with pretty high strength in terms of attacks. Raijin being an enemy has "Raijin Special" as a limit break which can reduce HP by 3/4 and Wakka has Attack Reels which can attack up to 12x in a single turn... but aside from that, I think that this would be interesting just cause both of them really pained me to hear (or read) the them talk. The Pain Of Anima 08:04, June 8, 2010 (UTC)

@Yrl -- I do understand your point, but one thing I've noticed about this arena is that people end up bashing and voting against people anyway. While this is a popularity contest, saying that this fight makes no sense, well, that's painfully incorrect. I'm simply expanding on an idea that is in practice, albeit unofficially, nevertheless. Prime example: DNC Archive XV Week 149 (Yuna vs. Aerith) Votes For Aerith 22, 24, and 26 Votes For Yuna 6, 23, and 36. I mean it's out there. This is a popularity contest, and people bash all the time, I could have simply put "Which one is cooler" but I feel like this presentation will warrant better responses and inspire a better Peanut Gallery. While I respect your opinion, I feel it necessary to place my view on the subject in opposition to yours. Thanks for the feedback! The Pain Of Anima 09:36, July 29, 2010 (UTC)

I am simply expecting this one to be like the others; I'm not being pessimistic by choice - I'm be pessimistic by experience. Now, if this gets good support, then maybe I'll be a little happier i my next nomination, but I doubt that will happen. A.J. two (Smashboards) 22:46, June 19, 2010 (UTC)

Seriously, you're always expecting the worst. If you expect bad things to happen, you lose self-respect/esteem, and less people will gravitate towards you (do YOU hang out near deppressed people on purpose?), and then you start to get angry at the world when you have no friends. That leads to bad things happening. You seem to feel this way in real life too, so it's for the best if you just start being happy and do NOT be so pessimistic. I myself have submited a number of nominations, but only one or two have been really supported. Success comes to those who want it. サイクス、 月の悪魔のダンス 23:00, June 19, 2010 (UTC)
PS- Sorry for the long rant >_>
I am home-schooled - that means I don't know anyone else. No one gravitates towards me because there is noone to do so. I don't get angry at the world; that phase of my (if it ever happened) is over. I don't hang out with depressed people; I don't hang out with any people, and it's very rarely if I do. And seriously, what am I going to do? I do want sucess, but sucess rarely - if ever - happens for me, so I am automatically assuming that this will be another failure. Success comes to those who have success; it's no good just to want it, because it really matters how much you are willing to do to make it a success. I don't submit here often, because I know that, unless I find something worthwhile, then it won't be a success. But this actually has gotten some decent support, which I was in all honestly not expecting. A.J. two (Smashboards) 05:01, June 20, 2010 (UTC)
PS- Sorry for the long reply :)

Jecht? Small fanbase? You obviously haven't ever visited any Dissidia forum. --Silver Crono 20:49, July 22, 2010 (UTC)

  1. When was Marilith a summon? Unless you're counting Dissidia, I'm pretty sure Asura would sweep here.  TheBlueDragoon Dissicon ff10 Yun117:28, August 20, 2010 (UTC)
  2. Marilith's only a summon in dissidia, where pretty much every enemy makes it as a summon.  The SirLaguna Dissicon ff8 Lag1 17:44, August 20, 2010 (UTC)

Fixed your format. Oh, and about the fight, I'd recommend making it something more like Ochu Vs. Malboro, because it's more broad than two specific monsters from two different games.. Jimcloud 01:25, August 22, 2010 (UTC)
