Contents

• Please do not use talk templates here, as it really slows down the loading times.
• Check the list below as well as this list for dups before suggesting a new one. Hint: Use the "find" feature (Ctrl+F) to quickly search for names.
• Only fights between Final Fantasy characters are allowed. Other media like Kingdom Hearts, Super Mario RPG, 8-Bit Theater and Chrono Trigger will not be allowed to compete.
• Please include "Support", "Reject" and "Comments" subheadings when you add your suggestion, as other users are getting rather fed up with putting them in for you
• If you do not vote in the suggested manner, your vote will not be counted. Include only your "#~~~~" for your vote.
• TacticAngel has final say over all of the fights.

How to Suggest a Fight

Any registered user can suggest a fight. Fights should be added to the bottom of the page. They must be signed and they must be dated. Fights may be removed anytime, depending on whether or not they are acceptable. As a general rule, do not suggest 'Final Fantasy A vs Final Fantasy B' or any character versus a real or fictional character from outside the Final Fantasy universe. Below is a sample of code that should make creating suggestions easier.

Aerith v. Yuna

Rational: I'm surprised this fight hasn't been done. Here we have two leading ladies, both White Mages (to a certain extent.) They can both summon one way or another. They're both gentle and generally kind. The similarities go on and on.

Also, getting killed about halfway through the game doesn't give you much room for character development, so that's part of it... Lulu v. Tifa Lockheart

Rational: Besides the obvious connection (COUGHBOOBSCOUGH), They're both of the "strong woman" archetype, they care deeply for their friends and loved ones, and they're both very powerful members of their respective parties, but on opposite ends of the Job Class Spectrum. Lulu is a Black Mage and Tifa is a Monk. I could go on and on here, so hopefully you get the idea.

Comments Tifa's more of a shy and demure character who just happen to have a more contrasting way of fighting. I'd say none of the other playable females in VII have a personality similar enough to Lulu to compare. Faris has actually turned out to be one of the strongest characters I've had in any Final Fantasy, with only Squall, Tidus, Cecil, and my Knight, Red Wizard, and Black Wizard on the original FF being able to top her. But, having recently resumed VI, Locke might stand a decent chance. I'll reserve further judgement for later. Auron v. Adelbert Steiner

Rational: They are both loyal protectors to the person they swear to protect(Garnet and Yuna), though one tends to get kind of goofy at times while the other one stays serious most of the time. Though you could also call it a Warrior VS Samurai fight if you'd like.

So long as you put a little bit of thought into customizing your team I'm sure he can always be beaten on the second or third try. With Cid, grinding isn't going to save you. I needed 6 attempts, I think. You might want to have all your characters fully mastered in their primary roles (for that point in the game), but any additional grinding in their other recently obtained roles would be a horrible waste of time. At that point, you need to carefully think out a strategy, and adjust accordingly each time if and when you get a Game Over. Shift characters around as needed, and if necessary adjust/add paradigms to your chosen team of 3. You'll need to do a decent amount of this paradigm shuffling later on in the game especially if you want to go after the superbosses. That having been said, either Seymour's second or third form gave me a decent amount of trouble when I was playing X for the first time. Rational: Well since we already did an Amano Nomura fight i thought it would be kind of cool to put two pretty good music composers together. And BTW the reason i didn't put Uematsu here is because i just know that it would be a landslide. Ishimoto did the music for pretty much every installment to the Compilation of FFVII except for AC, DoC and FFVII itself, he also did Dissidia and Agito XIII. Hamauzu did DoC, FFXIII and a some of FFX. Just so you'd know.

SPECIAL BOUT: Dissidia Dream Characters Razma v. Chocobo

A long time ago, when I came here, I started the Dissidia Dream Characters thread in the Blackjack, so that we could create our own fan based Dissidia movesets of characters. Pikmin Master, Mangaartist, Exdeath65 and myself, Mask no Oni spent hours of time having fun creating these movesets.

And last month, Pikmin Master and Mangaartist had a contest to see which of our fanwanks were better. It then came down to Razma and Chocobo....

Comments I'ts good in theory, but I can somehow see it being tilted in Omega's favour. After all, in 4 of the games I have access to (1 DoS, FF5, FF6A and FF8) Omega appears, and has an overpowered attack in half if not 3 of them. (Circle is EVIL in FF5, and Terra Break is even worse from what I've seen. I reserve judgement on FF6's Omega's attacks since I haven't faced ihm or remmeber videos of his attacks that much, but I wouldn't put it past him to have Ultima. Worst FF1's had was Wave Cannon.), and Shinryu in only 3! (FF1 DoS, FF5, FF9.), although to Shinryu's benefit, he IS a story boss in FF9, whereas Omega's jsut an obstacle to get round in FF5. Had pretty impressive attacks, too. I haven't even killed FF1's yet. At present, Tidus has ALL of his stats over 230, if not 255 (and yes, that's including Luck). He's got around 29000 or so HP, and at least 5000-6000 MP. Since I gave him a weapon with One MP Cost, Break Damage Limit, Magic Booster, and... I forget what the last ability was, but I think it's Triple Overdrive... anyway, since that's his weapon, I'm going start getting rid of MP Nodes and swap 'em out for HP Nodes. I could pretty much safely ignore Ethereal Canon, the most annoying things were Armageddon and the fact that Ultra Spark also inflicts the Poison ailment. Golbez v. Exdeath

Rational: I noticed this one hasn't been suggested yet. Here we have two main antagonists that are both highly skilled mages, yet are also proficient with swords. They both wear full body armor that covers their faces. Both are fought in game as a boss and they both have some relationship to the protagonists. Golbez is Cecil's brother and Exdeath was first fought by Dorgann, who was Bartz's father from another world. They were also the first two villains to have their own theme songs.

They're big, beefy and dumb, with pretty high strength in terms of attacks. Raijin being an enemy has "Raijin Special" as a limit break which can reduce HP by 3/4 and Wakka has Attack Reels which can attack up to 12x in a single turn... but aside from that, I think that this would be interesting just cause both of them really pained me to hear (or read) the them talk.
