For those who are unaware, growing a beard is a bit like growing a plant: you need to care for it every day, give it lots of care, water it every two days, put it in the sun, and talk to it often. Unfortunately, I've been following these steps to the letter and I still haven't created a beard large enough to be a sentient creature that could consume a small African nation. However, these two do.
So let the fight begin! Who will be the last beard growing? Whatever the result, I'm sure it will be…Ramuhsing.
VICTOR Ramuh 14½ to 4

I find FFIV's Cid to be a very interesting and appealing character, but Ramuh should get the duke. Not just for facial hair that puts Duck Dynasty to great shame, but as an overall majestic character in the entire FF franchise!Free bird (talk) 23:00, October 8, 2014 (UTC)

DEFENDING CHAMPION BARTZ KLAUSER FINAL FANTASY V VICTORY 14 to 10
LAST MAN STANDING
CHALLENGER BAHAMUT THE NECKMASTER FINAL FANTASY SERIES DEFEAT 14 to 10
For his fourth fight in Last Man Standing, that Bartz guy we found makes a habit of fighting things he's already beaten before. This time he faces Bahamut, lord of dragons, who has equally proven his might in the category of necks. Espying Bartz leveraging his titles to earn votes, Bahamut has ensured that he will be likewise garbed. Between these two strange competitors, who will be the victor? Who will be the Last Man Standing?

You have made a wise choice, young grasscloud. Now there just need to be themes, and it's perfect. ScatheMote 22:09, September 29, 2014 (UTC)
Techno, I'd try, but I don't think Bartz would go for it considering he's already got two princesses for that. ;) (No, not three, Krile's 14 you wierdos) -- SomeColorMage ~ (Talk) 12:08, September 29, 2014 (UTC)
Why would he even have to resort to his friends, there's a whole town full of stage dancers who're are happy to give it up to him? And the other Light Warriors as well, because they're just that Pimpn' and they don't discriminae.--AnonyMan (talk) 12:00, September 30, 2014 (UTC)
Look, I think we can all agree that Bartz is the biggest pimp in the series. But really, when the choices are stage dancer harem, and princesses, the latter just sounds more impressive.
The point I'm getting at is that there should be a sequel where Bartz takes advantage of that and becomes Pimp King of Tycoon. Sounds like a more interesting story than Legend of the Crystals, at least. -- SomeColorMage ~ (Talk) 01:28, October 2, 2014 (UTC)

Dancer Bahamut does look fabulous... in some way. --Flüstergras 15:22, October 3, 2014 (UTC)
Okay, so today we have a duel between a duality of deadly dragons. You'd think that you might want to compare their strengths, their appearances, or their different powers when making your choice. You'd be wrong.
No, what you should be doing is comparing their necks. Yes, their necks. What do you think this colosseum is for? Do you prefer the long slender neck of Shinryu or the short sturdy neck of Bahamut? Which will be the last neck standing?
Shinryu made Dissidia happen. Dissidia has the most confusing and altogether worst storyline of anything Final Fantasy-related. Shinryu thought up that storyline, so Shinryu gets NO VOTES FROM ME!!!!! --BlueHighwindツ 17:32, September 23, 2014 (UTC)
I think the real question is, which neck can withstand the One and Only Bartz? King of Noobs 02:53, September 22, 2014 (UTC)

DEFENDING CHAMPION BARTZ KLAUSER FINAL FANTASY V VICTORY 12½ to 6
LAST MAN STANDING
CHALLENGER CARBUNCLE von MÜNCHHAUSEN VARIOUS GAMES DEFEAT 12½ to 6
Bartz continues on his rampage as champion, destroying all in his wake and salting the fields of Carthage.
However, he didn't realize that he would come across someone with as lavishly styled hair as he! What a calamity! Indeed, one could not judge whose hair, Bartz or Carbuncles, was more flammable from the amount of product placed in it nor could one accurately judge the pounds upon pounds of broken combs that must have ensued from all the morning hairy activities.
Who will be the last man/green thing standing with the most fashionable hair?

This week's update was brought to you by your favorite ScatheMote, who is updating in lieu of Jimcloud, as she, set awash on the open sea, is torn and twisted by the winds of fortune throughout the world to tear through the channels of Scylla and Charybdis, perhaps one day settling with the Cattle of the Sun (which, as we know, must not be eaten; that would be rude). ScatheMote 02:44, September 15, 2014 (UTC)

I abhor violence. There's such much cruelty and evil of the world. Don't we want to leave that at the door when enjoy ourselves at the DNC?
So this week is Peace Week in the DNC (stands for Do No Conflict). Today, we decide whose warm and kind hugs we would appreciate more. Would you rather have the gentle caress of the dread emperor Vayne, whose long flowing hair brushes softly across your face as he embraces you, or the furry hug of Carbuncle, whose cuddle is interrupted only by a sudden flash that will blind you for the remainder of your life?
I can't help but think that Vayne has better hair for some reason. It's almost as if his hair is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Like I just want to spend the next three days brushing it with a golden comb while we eat grapes together listening to Huey Lewis and the News. --BlueHighwindツ 17:35, September 8, 2014 (UTC)
I vote for the cute Carbuncle! Vayne has probably the best head of hair of any male FF character, but that's not enough for me to vote for him and against the cute Summon.Free bird (talk) 22:53, September 8, 2014 (UTC)

Not every mage is an eldery wizard, entire of itself. Some mages are a piece of youth, a part of progeny. Zhor7 (talk) 16:24, August 27, 2014 (UTC) Was never a huge fan of either of these supporting characters, but Hope was just too annoying for me early game.
I think Eiko is a fairly decent character; although Hope may have a marvelous growth throughout his appearances (haven't played XIII), he had a lot more time to do it (he had more games and we see basically all his life, from a child to a full adult), thus I consider the comparison not fair in this point. The fight descriptions are not meant to be taken seriously. -- SomeColorMage ~ (Talk) 23:59, August 26, 2014 (UTC)
Bartz's fight description was intended to be as generic as possible to set up for the punchline that was Sabin's. I'm going to let you in on a little secret: as many times as we update the DNC, do you think we can come up with good commentary without venturing into comedy territory sooner or later? Or, well, all the time? It's hard, it's so hard. Jimcloud 00:33, August 27, 2014 (UTC)
I have never written a serious fight description. ScatheMote 00:39, August 27, 2014 (UTC)
@Technobliterator & Balthierfan : To be perfectly fair to Eiko, you need to remember that's she's (apparently) only 6 years old. And unlike Hope, she both only had one game of screen time, and was raised by Moogles, not actual parents. The fact that she is alive and well is amazing. The fact that she has near zero social skills is to be expected. King of Noobs 12:38, August 25, 2014 (UTC)

Chocobos know color coordination. Where Sabin has yellow, yellow, and yellow (belt? What belt?), the Chocobo has a respectable quantity of orange/black in the legs and orange in the beak. It's less blinding. Jimcloud 22:28, August 18, 2014 (UTC)

I think they are both great characters. I really enjoyed Bartz' silliness in FFV and his quotes in Dissidia, but I like Firion better due to the unique leveling system in FFII (which debuted in '89 and as such way ahead of its time) and I have a sentimental attachment to roses, being my daughter's middle name.Free bird (talk) 23:48, August 11, 2014 (UTC)
