Week 307: Sabin v. Jecht[]
VICTOR Sabin 12½ to 12 |
Today, two hot, sweat, burly, buff, shirtless men wrestle in the sand pits of the Dragon Neck's Colosseum. One is known for being the quote-on-quote "best there ever was," but the other can suplex a train, although his ability to stay alive in in battle may leave something to be desired. ---|---|---|---|---|---|
And in our third fight where both contenders' names begin with an R, Ringabel will this time defend his title against Raitoningu-okay, no.
That being said, these two have a little more in common than you may notice at first glance. Both of them have taken on aliases, though one of them not by choice, and both of them are very dedicated to protecting the person who matters most to them. It's just that one person shares a fraternal relationship with them, and the other one... less so. Anyways! Will the Job Master hold the Ramparts against his first challenger? Or will the Savior claim another soul? Who will be the Last Man Standing? | |||||

Peanut Gallery[]Right. So let me explain. All of yesterday, the internet here was out. I couldn't get on anything to even ask Scathe to update for me. So that's why this update was not had yesterday. As to why I didn't do it on the day it was supposed to be done, well, that was just laziness. (and the internet cutting out when I was planning to do it, namely a couple of hours before midnight, but that doesn't really excuse the previous 22 hours) But we have an update now! So there! Jimcloud 16:10, July 8, 2014 (UTC)
@Kierandell: I don't know exactly why Ringabel keeps winning, but perhaps there's an off chance that maybe he's actually a good character? Jimcloud 02:40, July 9, 2014 (UTC)

Week 303: Ringabel v. Irvine[]
VICTOR Ringabel 14½ to 9½ |
In one corner, we have who might be the smuggest looking character ever. In the other corner, we have everyone's favorite cowboy hat wearing superstar named for a city in California. But these two have several similarities. Indeed, Irvine scours the earth looking for love and fails. However, he does eventually find in the party member he had been traveling with this entire time, Selphie. Does this story ring a bell for you when it comes to Ringabel's plot?

We here at the Dragon's Neck Colosseum Committee would like to assure you once again that these fights are entirely randomly generated and are in no way influenced by our fair members. That being said, this alliterative fight pits the White Mage and eventual Queen of Baron, Rosa, against the Judge-turned-Sky Pirate, Reddas. Week 301: Eggman v. Chocobo[]
VICTOR Eggman 14½ to 7½ |
Now, you may be wondering, "Scathe, why did you decide to put the most popular character from the Final Fantasy series against some random Easter egg (get it?) from one of the lesser known Final Fantasy games?"
First of all, that picture is amazing of Eggman and I really wanted him in an DNC fight. Secondly, I needed a non-character fight since LMS is on an off week. Thirdly, and most importantly, we can finally answer the age old question: which came first, the chicken or the egg? |

Week 300 Special![]
Jimcloud's Fight: Agrias v. Beatrix[]
VICTOR Beatrix 16½ to 19 |
Alright, so I was looking at the list of old DNC fights, thinking "what can I use, what can I use... Zidane v. Tidus would be laughable, Vivi v. Aerith would be horrible, Cloud of Darkness v. Exdeath?" And then it hit me. Agrias v. Beatrix. Both of them are surprisingly popular minor characters from the series' popular dark horse entries, and the original fight ended in a very inconclusive tie. So let's do it again! Peanut Gallery[]So, for this, the celebration of the DNC's three hundredth week, I picked an old fight and Scathe picked an old fight, and now we have those happening again. And then there were two more fights that were not "picked" so much as sprung from the ether, freshly-made and begging to be used. They're down there. Jimcloud 17:46, May 18, 2014 (UTC)
I really can't vote either way on this one. Two of my favorite characters and extremely popular minor characters for good reason! I wanna vote for both of them 'cuz FFT is my favorite game ever and Beatrix has some of my favorite songs as her themes.Free bird (talk) 03:11, May 20, 2014 (UTC)

Scathe's Fight: Laguna, Ward and Kiros v. Jecht, Braska and Auron[]
| ||||||||
VICTOR Jecht, Braska and Auron 10 to 20½ |
So I was really tempted to not do a serious fight for week 300, i.e. I was totally going to choose Garnet's Hair v. Terra's Hair or just repick Pig v. Toad again. But then I remembered this fight and how supercool it was. It was also the last normal fight before Last Man Standing starting, so that's also pretty neato. But yeah, who knew I could avoid the temptation to put up a silly fight?
Anyway, which group of three that really should have been the made stars of each respective game do you vote for? |

Scathe's Other Fight: Krile v. Lightning[]
VICTOR Lightning 12 to 20½ |
So this fight may seem somewhat arbitrary. And to an extent, it is arbitrary. But hear me out.
In one corner, we have the character that Square Enix thinks is the best. In the other corner, we have the character that we in the DNC committee know is the best. One character is named after a natural effect, the other is named after a kind of small shrimp. The comparisons are endless. Okay, so maybe I'm crazy. But isn't that was supposed to have happened anyway? |
