It just occurred to me, after this fight has been up for a couple of weeks, this could have easily been subtitled "Battle of the cool old dudes." King of Noobs 14:53, November 19, 2011 (UTC) Here's how I'd imagine the fight: Ranged+Support!Laguna, Physical+Speed!Kiros, and Physical!Ward VS Physical+Defense!Auron, Defense+Support!Jecht, and Mage!Braska. Peanut Gallery[]Beatrix is gonna completely humiliate Yuffie, not for the reason I put down, but because people play FF7 more than FF5. Catuse167 06:33, September 6, 2011 (UTC)
Firstly, lol at the first post. Secondly, no one cares if you like VII better than V, the fight is between Faris and Yuffie, not their games. Thirdly, bet you can't guess what sound a llama makes.# 203.109.173.228 04:56, September 7, 2011 (UTC)
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum! Clarent talk 09:47, September 8, 2011 (UTC) This is rough. If someone usually asked me pirates verses ninja it would be pirates, but Yuffie is one of my favorite Final Fantasy characters--Gainsboroughsephiroth 17:39, September 8, 2011 (UTC).
"108.4.137.234 01:47, September 7, 2011 (UTC) Faris, if only because anyone in Final Fantasy V can master all jobs and become epic freelancers. That said, Faris can be a master Ninja Pirate." I never thought about that at all. Kudos points, anon voter. King of Noobs 18:05, September 8, 2011 (UTC) Do remember this is not where you vote. You know, discounting annoyances and nuances is play between V and VII, the two actually are similar. They both rebelled in their own way. Faris left the throne for her sister when given the chance, and Yuffie went behind the backs of Wutai to attempt to restore it. I'm sure this fact will be overlooked when counting the characters, so the real question comes down to who's the more liked rebel. Luacas 03:22, September 11, 2011 (UTC) Are my eyes deceiving me? A V character holding their own, and in fact leading (though not enough to "win,") against a VII character? I never thought I would see the day... King of Noobs 21:03, September 14, 2011 (UTC)

Week 175: The Emperor v. Galenth Dysley[]
WINNER! The Emperor |
You are Niccolò Machiavelli. You wrote a book about some royal son. A lot of people thought you were a real jerk for it, but two notable leaders both read it: The Emperor and Galenth Dysley. Their empires are about to clash. Their forces, while different, offer them no true advantage of the other. In military might and economic strength they are equals, but they are ruled by two very different men. Who embodies the cunning, the wisdom, and the necessary duplicity to win? | WINNER! Peanut Gallery[]I think FFVII would not be seen as nearly as impressive a game(aside from a tech standpoint) in the gaming community if the other all of the older FFII and the other older FFs had been released outside of Japan before it. II was like the 1st really dark game of the series and killed off way more playable characters(and all of the temp characters were FAR cooler than the permanent ones). Not taking a jab at VII(this time), I'm just saying.AnonyMan 22:27, July 6, 2011 (UTC) As much as I agree with the person above me there's really no point in going over the whatifs and such. It is what it is, and even if the older games had been released before FFVII what does any of that have to do with this? --Marael 23:39, July 6, 2011 (UTC) I disagree with the comments above claiming that always slagging off VII just beacuase its success, in muy Opinion VI was not that great and Kefka (he was alright as he had some humourous lines, and personality)is WAY overrated. yes he's a little amuzing but seriously....Kuja had way more stylish flare and Sephiroth was just Kickass. i know people are going to say some BS like Kefka was the God of magic and conquered the world, but hey so did Ultimecia and there is no end of abuse she gets from suppossed fans who are more obsessed with unfairly critizing later games when the gameplay is usually just as good if not better than previous games (XIII not so much IMO lol, the characters still has tere charm though and the 12 days before the purge thing was good to watch).i'm not saying the games pre VII aren't good it's just annoying the way supposed fans are clearly biased with there hatered (they still seem to play the new games though...
What's with the really long votes? SquallRocks 14:56, July 7, 2011 (UTC)

The Emperor is the first largely developed antagonist. Garland was simple, a guy who made a time loop to live eternally. The Emperor is calculating, ruthless and a "Trap Master", for the whole of FF2 you get to see one or two disasters his actions have brought, always bringing a mess for you to solve. You get Mythril, The Emperor brings the Dreadnought, you destroy the Dreadnought, he brings on a Lamia Queen and poisons the Wyverns. You save Fynn, he lets loose a Cyclone, you defeat him, he comes back from Hell. The Emperor is the first of the line of later on "Emperors" or evil leaders of later games from which ironically Dysley is like an "offspring" of such process? And even if in Dissidia he's just a soldier, he makes himself known. Dysley's role as a Fal'Cie was surprising, but I'd have developed it further, besides his goal was to destroy the world......that objective has been so discarded and simple since quite long (yes Kuja wanted it, but merely after he knew he was mortal) that bringing it back so suddenly when you're developing more complex stories can make this guy look dumb. So it's clear who won this, how bout we move on to the next one.--Chakn 18:30, August 2, 2011 (UTC) Yeah man, Mateus is winning by a landslide. Drawing this out any further will just be embarrassing. --Marael 16:26, August 6, 2011 (UTC) |

Peanut Gallery[]I Can't Decide! They're both to epic for words. I can't choose. Tifa suplexes and beats up everything that she meets up against and is just awesome, and Setzer calls Chocobos, brings down the Airship with H-Bomb, and he's also awesome! FF needs more Real Slots-using characters. There hasn't been any since Cait Sith. Also Selphie would have been a more fitting choice to go up against Setzer. AnonyMan 21:09, June 16, 2011 (UTC)
Razordash 09:36, June 17, 2011 (UTC)
Selphie's Slots weren't really so much down to luck though, it was more about patience as you could just keep redoing them until you got some awesome magic, or if you were really patient, come up with rapture.--> There is a cheat that can garantee getting the results you want with Selphies limit break (if you have a Playstation 1) Zack got the DMW-slots in Crisis core. Never been a fan of the random limit breaks... The Rood Inverse 11:44, June 27, 2011 (UTC) I have to agree with the person above me. It ticks me off that I can't choose when to use the strongest summons in a boss battle but they keep popping up in a normal enemy encounter, like seriously? WTF?! At least with Tifa you get to choose. --Marael 02:11, July 2, 2011 (UTC) |

King of Noobs 22:57, May 9, 2011 (UTC) It took me about 40 tries before I beat Barthandalus the first time around. And then it took me forever to beat him as the second-to-last boss. Seymour has never been exactly what I would call "badass" mostly because the term is very overused but I have to admit this one line sold me: "If you're offering your lives, I will have to take them" And I'm also just a little ashamed to admit that I find him quite attractive....*sigh* I've never admitted that before --XOneWingedAngelx 00:08, May 13, 2011 (UTC) cool my entry made it in :P Judge Magister Pyarox 06:49, May 13, 2011 (UTC) I think "Votes for" should be: "Votes for Maester" (Seymour) and "Votes for Primarch" (Dysley), but that's my own opinion. Generally, good fight.—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) 13:11, May 13, 2011 (UTC)
Everyone is saying Dysley is a hard boss, yet if you level up your character like you would in any other ff (which most people dont because of how linear the game is) he is very easy to beat. 22:22, May 22, 2011 (UTC)

He has alot more personality than Kadaj and ESPECIALLY Yazoo(I forget if he even spoke), he's the only one who doesn't look like a teenage girl and he was actually a little funny. He rarely gets mentioned with the other SHM granted they all suck but still he was the closest to not sucking. AnonyMan 02:42, April 24, 2011 (UTC) @AnonyMan ".. he's the only one who doesn't look like a teenage girl" That would be your reason right there. --Gunji 03:46, April 25, 2011 (UTC)
