Peanut Gallery[]A Quandry: what do I do when I find a random annon vote for Locke who blatantly ignored the COMPLETELY OBVIOUS ALL-CAPS TEXT TELLING HIM NOT TO VOTE BELOW THAT LINE, and completely ruined the page format for a second? Its so clear that you would have to be blind or illiterate not to notice it. So what should be done with this idiot? Currently its Locke IP vote Number 1. Keep or remove? --BlueHighwind 23:25, 22 May 2008 (UTC) FINALLY, a match with characters I care about. I hope the next one has Zell in it. Anyway, I'm hoping Zidane can win this one, even though VI is probably more loved...around here and Locke with it. Also to the person who said they were playing and still hasn't learned anything about Zidane, Disc 3 is the disc where you find about him.AnonyMan 02:01, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
Pikmin Master says: Man, another obvious-looking match. I hope the next match has people I won't expect being in the DNC.
I have to say that Locke and Zidane are wayyyy better thieves than Balthier and Fran. Balthier and Fran are cool personality-wise, but what's with long ranged weapons? (yeah i know they can use any weapons but they started off with those) You need daggers to mug people. Zidane and Locke FTW. --VN
Umm...last time I played FFVI, Locke had an oversized head. In fact, it's about the same size as his whole body! Get it right people! --Alcaeus

Week 69: Lulu v. Edea[]

But I'm hoping this was Edea as a villain instead of the character you get to use temporarily. -Otens Whoever said "Voting for Edea=Voting for Ultimecia" At least Ultimecia was a good final boss, unlike FFX. --AnonyMan 13:13, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
It's 18-17 Edea as I type this. This will be one hell of a "Black Magic Woman" slobberknocker. --Tex 01:02, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
I vote for the real Edea, the kind, pretty and powerful matron, because the Ice Strike is Edea's power, not Ultimecia. ~ Rinja. Wow. The last time I remember a fight this close was Rydia vs. Tifa. Drake Clawfang 13:42, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Did anyone notice the "Vaan could take on Squall" comment in the anonymus votes for Lulu? I couldn't help but laugh my ass off, a punk-ass like Vaan could even be beatdown by a band of Lulu's dolls, not to mention what Squall could do to him --User:Leiber_Mage
Am I insane or is Edea serious much hotter than Lulu? I want somebody to fight me on this, because I'm thinking that the IPs are mostly idiots. --BlueHighwind 00:37, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
Lulu IP Vote #10, I said "mostly" idiots. There are exceptions, but you are not one of them. They're called apostrophes and are often used in contractions so that "we're" does not become the verb "were". Try them sometime. --BlueHighwind 21:53, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
I LOL'd at someone mentioning that Edea has a voice! Hwahaha... anyways... it's true that everyone can learn magic in FFX, but still you need the key sphere thingy to have access to them. But by the time you unlock it, it's about time to face the final boss. It's not like magic can work well with bosses anyway, there's no point of unlocking. You can always choose the characters to be true to their job classes or not. Besides, I like the sphere grid system than junction. Wait a sec, I thought all FF8 characters can use magic? --VN Yikes! This may be the closest match yet! Chocotard 19:00, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
lol @ anonymous vote for Lulu 5 "it would take FOREVER for a FFX character to COMPLETE two sphere areas." my team, Tidus, Auron, and Yuna, have literally 95% of the grid filled out, and this is my second sweep wiping anything thats a stat that isn't +4. I'm not bragging or anything, just saying it doesn't take as long as you might think. Once you get o a certain point, sphere grid levels come far faster than the actual common drop spheres you fill them in with. Not to mention in comparison to the time I spend in some games leveling characters *cough cough disgaea cough* the amount of time that took was nothing. Total time on my FFX save: around 100 hours, I believe. Time spent on the other game mentioned leveling a _single_ character... around 240 hours. (Both times include me falling asleep while playing several times.) Caidryn 23:22, 19 May 2008 (UTC)Caidryn |

This is EXTREMELY one sided in my eyes. Final Fantasy IV was an amazing game, and Final Fantasy II, while it is a good game, doesn't even compare to IV --ThomiDRAGOON 8 May 2008 (UTC)
Pablo618:BH, tell me is a lie that you haven't played FFIV! It's a must-play from the series! get an emulator and play it or wait for FFIV DS or something!
A better fight would be Freya vs. Kain, but thats already been done. The only dragoon that Ricard could beat is Kimahri. --ThomiDRAGOON 9 May 2008 (UTC) No, even though it was only a job, the first Dragoon that could jump was from FFIII. And Minh/Mindu/Minwu was the best character from FFII. --Alcaeus

Peanut Gallery[]Who's been titleing these last few fights? Only I think it's all getting just a little stilted.
Mergal 11:35, 6 May 2008 (UTC)I dunno if this might be just a trick played on the majority of us by Square Enix or whatever, but I was thinking, doesn't Cloud at Mt. Nibel reactor, slice Sephiroth through without him noticing? What I saw, was that Sephiroth was talking to 'mother' and then suddenly Cloud takes the Buster sword and just impales Sephiroth through to Jenova's container? [no blood of course...] I think this is a bit more plausible, than Cloud being stronger than Sephiroth, at the time. Then again, in the game Crisis Core, Cloud runs ridiculously faster than Zack, if you are following him to the reactor. And Zack kinda weakens Sephiroth beforehand... I DUNNO! Random note: some one cut up my vote and put it as extra votes for Cloud. That not fair guy! "This guy are sick." ~ Aerith
I'm not voting in this one because I haven't played Crisis Core yet and thus can't make a decision on Zack or Cloud outside of the expressionless text boxes of FFVII. All I can say is I hope that this will be another good fight. May the best man win. --Tex 20:53, 30 April 2008 (UTC) I didn't like AC Emo Cloud, but VII Cloud was an asshole who gouged a small-time terrorist group, didn't care about the fate of the planet and impersonated Zack. Cloud also hung out with two hot chicks who were both interested in him. But he didn't make a move on either of them! Zack on the other hand did all the stuff Cloud thought he did, and unlike Cloud, Zack had it going on with Aeris, which I envy. This vote will take some time to make. Cloud's an ass, but on the other hand, Zack got Aeris. Drake Clawfang @Sora: Just because a character appealed to you, that doesn't automatically make a fangirl. --ChiefKakashi 22:00, 30 April 2008 (UTC) I say Zack will win 40-10. Anyone disagree? --ChiefKakashi 23:21, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
@Big Mamou: Cloud didn't defeat Sephiroth at the Nibel Reactor while impaled by his sword: Sephiroth jump off to the pit of the reactor in panic after Cloud lifted the blade, making him head to the Northern Crater. - Henryacores
TA, you HAVE to do an all-FFIV fight in July. ONLY IF YOU MAKE ME THIS ONE PROMISE will I vote in this fight which only passed by 1 vote and most of the for votes were anons. There are a lot of fights, including Edea-Lulu, Freya-Fran, and Vivi-Aeris. --Crazyswordsman 18:56, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
Well I have seen Cloud called a lot of names around the internet and what not, but that is the first time I have ever seen him called an Emu.(vote #1 for Zack :P)--Oranejo 19:21, 1 May 2008 (UTC) The plot of Crisis core and the fighting was awesome...I now offically saw somthing I didnt think was possible..somone cooler than Sephiroth..Genesis. Meanwhile, AC was made before Crsis core and many others because it was probably gonna be like X-2...the only continuation, and they couldn't come up with a good plot, so they half assed it and then just amde the fighting really amazing but had a crappy plot. Tho I have to say, I do love the fighitn in it, and it likely did help to make the fighting so goood for Crisis core, becauase it was a way to give them experience b4 they made the game. meanwhile, I also think that abilities wise, Zack and Cloud are even. But Cloud just isnt that liekable in persnality, while I like Zacks personality. Chipmonk329 Is it just me or is there an anti-emo sentiment going about these days? I can never tell such things. That aside, I dispute the label, and postulate that if Cloud were your typical emo, he'd probably keep a razor spare, because God knows, you can't slit your wrists with a Buster Sword... Also some people seem to have a problem with Cloud and his woman problems. Anyone would think that having cool (and importantly, blond) hair like Cloud's and a physique like his is supposed to be unattractive. Besides put yourself in his shoes; do you date Ms Nature, with all the sentimental stuff men like in women or Ms Earth, with all the body any red-blooded male would want? (That isn't to say that one doesn't have the other's attributes either but there you go).
OK so he's been engineered. I don't see Neo and Trinity complaining...
I agree with BH about Omnislash too. It's saved my skin a few times. --Varehemsko
Why was I deleted from Zack? I am a user...so why delete me? I cant help that it wont send my password to my email when I want it to..jeez, I signed it and everything and it deleted my vote..I call a baias..since it must be as such because Cloud is winning and I'm deleted..no doubt others were too, as a way to give Cloud an unfair advantage..delet people who voted Zack...tho this is just a theory..--Chipmonk329
i wonder if there'll be an Aeris vs Tifa next... --VN 3 May 2008

Looks like even Zack pummels Cloud in the DNC. Has Cloud's demeanor in Kingdom Hearts(guessing here never played any of them) and Advent Children pretty much screwed him over from even coming close in fights anymore?--Oranejo 00:11, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
I so wish I could vote on this. But I've only seen Cloud on Advent Children and Kingdom Hearts. Which means I only know shit about one and basically nothing on the other. sighs --Mjka Just wondering if we can end the slaughter of Cloud already, and move onto something else. |

Gotta love 'em. ...why yes, I am anonymous Auron voter number 14, how did you guess? Another tough choice! I like them both DX. Auron's like the coolest ronin, and Balthier's freakin charming. Both are the greatest supporting characters (yes, i take Balthier as a supporting character despite his 'leading man' demeanor :3 ). --VulpineNinja 24 April 2008 Jammi568: @ whoever wrote that description. It will be interesting to see who emerges as the victor in this bout between two of the FFWiki's most popular FF characters. Will the powerful ronin make the leading man's pain be twofold or will the crafty sky pirate shoot the unsent one down to the Farplane? Time will tell... --Tex 19:04, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

Why doesn't this fight get an introductory paragraph? Every other fight gets one.Adam mcduck Blykus: This was a bit of an unfair vote on my part, since I haven't played the original Final Fantasy.
UGH. Seeing that pic of Kuja makes me cringe. I'm boycotting this fight until TA decides to use a pic of Garland without a big ugly sword and a pic of Kuja that's not reeking of Nomura. --Crazyswordsman 18:27, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
I don't know why people complain about the abundance of androgynous characters in FF or about crossdressing. What does that have to do with anything? Not to mention that basically every video game, anime and manga out of Japan has them. Seriously, there's nothing to get worked up over; just because a character looks girly, it doesn't mean that they are bad. I personally like girly characters (not that they are hard to find). And Kuja is hardly girly as compared to say, Ritsu, Lucius or Ranka YuanchosaanSalutations! 03:50, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
Elcan: Is the intro for this fight vandalism or not? I can't tell.
A few people voted for Garland based on his and Kuja's appearance. Has no one heard of the saying "Don't judge a book by its cover?" Kuja has more personality than almost all of the FF villians combined. --Alcaeus
This matchup's been the most balanced and evened out in a long while. Though Kuja should be blowing Garland out the water, it's just another testament of FFIX's obscurity. AnonyMan Sigh, more people are interested in Hexedmagica's popularity contest, that even the DNC hasn't had someone vote in a while. Come on Kuja, bitchslap Garland back into obscurity! --Alcaeus
Is this FFI Garland or FFIX Garland? Cuz if it's FFIX Garland, then I'm going to laugh at all the people who are saying Garland can beat Kuja in a fight.--Arcanedude34
