Weapons in Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis are obtained primarily through the gacha system, where players can draw for a chance of pulling each weapon, and through the exchange systems that are updated periodically. Each character can equip a main weapon and a sub-weapon unique to that character, as well as three sub-equipment weapons which can be used by any character.

This list does not include Ultimate Weapons, which, though obtained by many of the same methods, are mechanically distinct from those in the common pool.

Abilities

In addition to base stats, weapons have one command ability and two reinforcement abilities.

Command abilities

A command ability (C. Ability) is the unique ability assigned to that weapon. At the lowest possible rarity rank of 3★, command abilities are at best amplified versions of skills already present on materia. By advancing the rarity rank of the weapon, the player can transform and upgrade its associated command ability into newer and more powerful forms. At 5★ and above, the command ability has reached maximum evolution potential, but can be upgraded to + and ++ grades alongside the attributes of the linked weapon. Upon reaching 15★, the command ability reaches its maximum potential ability level. Further overboosting can raise raw stats to much higher levels.

Reinforcement abilities

Reinforcement abilities (R. Abilities) provide secondary passives to a character. Both weapons' reinforcement abilities are equipped onto the character, but the level of each ability is heavily affected by whether it is a main or sub-weapon. Each reinforcement ability is assigned a predetermined amount of points which determine their level, and equipping a weapon as a sub-weapon or sub-equipment weapon halves the reinforcement points. All weapons begin with only their command ability unlocked, with each level uncap unlocking or enhancing the remaining abilities including support materia (below).

Support abilities

Support abilities (S. Abilities) can further enhance stats and indicate which sigil the weapon can deal bonus damage to. All weapons are equipped with three support abilities that are unlocked as the weapons' level caps are raised.

Both a main and sub-weapon’s command abilities are slotted into the first two slots of a character’s ATB command list in battle. Both weapons' reinforcement abilities are equipped onto the character too, but it is heavily affected by whether it is a main or sub-weapon.

Level caps

All weapons begin with an initial level cap at level 20, raised by collecting special upgrade materials dropped on mission completion or acquired via expeditions and exchanges. Each cap break raises the weapon's maximum level by 10 in addition to unlocking one skill or support materia. However, each rarity rank has a maximum level cap as follows:

• 3★: Lv. 50.
• 4★: Lv. 70.
• 5★-15★+: Lv. 120.

Upgrading rarity and Overboost

All weapons can be evolved in rarity with weapon parts converted from draws or acquired at an exchange as follows:

• 3★-4★: 10 parts needed
• 4★-15★+:200 parts needed per level evolved.

Parts conversion rates

In the event that the player has already acquired any given weapon by any available means, all future pickups of the same weapon will convert to parts as follows with automatic conversion enabled:

• 3★: x1
• 4★: x10
• 5★: x200
