Gear (ウェア, Wea?, lit. Wear) in Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis are alternate outfits obtained through various means. The most common is tied to the gacha; as the player pulls for weapons, they earn one or more stamps on a card toward guaranteed weapons and gear. Other methods include story progression, Gear Vouchers, and event exchanges. Each character can equip one set of gear in Battle, which boosts character stats, and an optional second set as a Skin, which changes appearance only. The "Recommended Party" auto-loadout feature attempts to select the best gear based on the parameters of the selected mission, such as elemental weaknesses and status effects, and other hidden determinations.
Abilities[]
Each set of gear has two Reinforcement Abilities, which boost stats or grant bonus passive abilities. The ability points from the gear are combined with those from equipped weapon R. abilities to determine the overall level of boost based on preset thresholds. Some premium gear sets have unique abilities with only one level available.
