Final Fantasy VIII achievements and trophies

The 2013 PC re-release of Final Fantasy VIII, as well as the Final Fantasy VIII Remastered for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam), have various achievements/trophies for the player to earn. The Remastered achievements/trophies are mainly the same as the ones for the PC re-release, with some achievements dropped.

The "Timber Maniacs" achievement/trophy is missable if the player doesn't check the one aboard White SeeD Ship before the ship disappears from the world map. The "Obel Lake Secret" is missable if the player waits till endgame. Some of the GFs are also missable, as well is the Card Club quest completion. In the Remastered version, it appears that for the Top Rank trophy to pop up, the player needs to get to Rank A by completing a test from the menu, rather than by ranking up by other means, such as by fighting enemies. In the 2013 PC-release, the player can also miss Magazine Addict and Collector.

Using the boosters 3x speed, battle assist and no encounter does not disable achievements in any version.
