Production[]
During the production of the vinyl, Takashi Tokita, main designer and scenario writer for Final Fantasy IV, was consulted on the jacket art. A proposal was sent to him based on art by Yoshitaka Amano that was commissioned for Final Fantasy IV's 3D remake on the Nintendo DS, but the version presented to him did not show the Lunar Whale, which he felt was necessary to show if using the artwork. Tokita proposed an alternate layout that the final jacket ended using.[1]
