The Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary Playing Cards (FINAL FANTASY 25周年記念 トランプ, Fainaru Fantajī Ni-jū Go Shūnen Kinen Toranpu?) is a deck of playing cards released in commemoration for the Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary, first released on June 29, 2012.[1] They were sold at various events, such as at the Distant Worlds The Celebration tour.[2][3]
Each of the suits feature illustrations of different aspects: clubs features game logos, hearts features Dissidia artwork of the main characters, clubs features Yoshitaka Amano artworks, and diamonds features SD artwork. The ranks of the clubs and hearts suit represent their respective game sequentially, e.g. Ace represents the original Final Fantasy, and King represents Final Fantasy XIII. Clubs also follows the game theme from 4 through 10, while the remaining six focus on artwork of series summons. The diamonds suit entirely focuses on characters from Final Fantasy IV and Final Fantasy V, though intended to represent the series's job classes.
The deck has two joker cards, the recurring character Gilgamesh, and the harlequin Kefka. Both these cards feature Amano artwork.
