Seraph is a light-elemental Eidolon that appears in Final Fantasy Dimensions II. The signet can be obtained for Aemo as a first-time completion reward for completing the “Knight“ story quest during the Crystal of Time arc.
At the time the signet becomes available in Chapter 1-2, it will be able to provide Aemo with overall balanced stats. Teaching Aemo Raise abilities, it is important the player keep the signet equipped until she masters the signet’s first tier. Once fully upgraded, the first version of Seraph’s signet can teach Aemo her strongest single target Raise, allowing her to revive party members with full HP. Its Angel Feathers summon attack can be used to provide support to the party, due to it being able to heal and grant buffs. Aside from its usefulness during Chapter 1-2 of the game’s Crystal of Time arc, the signet is easily outclassed as the player progresses through the game and obtains stronger signets.
The second version of Seraph can be obtained for completing Aemo’s fifteenth character episode, “Protecting Everyday Life“. This version of Seraph is one of Aemo’s strongest signets, granting her a boost in HP and balanced attack and magic stats. In addition, this version also teaches Aemo her strongest reviving spell, Angel Heal, which revives all party members and heals their MP by a small fraction. Lastly, its passive to allow Aemo to negate attacks that revert her to critical HP is a valuable asset for late game bosses in the Eureka arc finale and the post-game challenges in Babil Tower.
Profile[]
The Seraph summon is based on the Esper from ‘’Final Fantasy VI’’. The first version of the summon depicts a female angel in a praying position. Seraph's final form depicts her with mechanical wings and ornaments below her dress, resembling the Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and Final Fantasy XII versions of Ultima, the High Seraph.
The second version of Seraph depicts a seated female angel. Her final artwork depicts her dress and wings entirely adorned with gold ornaments and surrounded by angelic plumes.
Battle[]
The first version of Seraph’s special attack is Angel Feathers, which heals a moderate amount of HP to all party members and raises their attack, magic, and speed for one turn. The second version’s special attack is the shared summon ability Purifying Blessing, which removes poison, darkness, silence, stun, continuous damage, attack down, magic down, and speed down debuffs from all party members. Summoning both versions of Seraph costs 2 bars from the Summon Gauge.

Development[]
In the original free-to-play versions there were three variations of the first Seraph signet, a version that taught Raise abilities, a second version that taught Love Song abilities, and a third version that taught Angel Song abilities. It could be equipped by any party member.
The second version of Seraph was originally a god-tier light summon that could only be obtained through the game's summon draw shop. It allowed the wielder to use the same abilities as in the premium release and required god stones to evolve. It was an SS+ rank summon and could be equipped by any party member.

Etymology[]
seraph, the singular of seraphim, is one of a class of celestial beings mentioned once in the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh or Old Testament), in the Book of Isaiah. Later Jewish imagery perceived them as having human form, and in that way they passed into the ranks of Christian angels, where they represent the highest rank of angels. They are traditionally depicted with three pairs of wings, from a description given in Isaiah: "With two, they covered their faces; with two, they covered their feet; and with two, they flew."
