The Mammon, also known as Mamon, is an enemy in Final Fantasy V fought in the Great Forest of Moore and in the final dungeon's castle. Its special attack is Berserk, which it uses on allies and foes alike. This casting can be a boon for the party, as Mammons usually appear grouped with magical foes that would otherwise inflict harmful statuses instead of easily-remedied physical hits.
They are extremely susceptible to fire-based skills and vulnerable to Level 5 Death.

Mammon is a concept as old as the Bible having to do with greed, avarice, and materialism in the Old Testament. In the New Testament, the concept is personified as a false god. Mammon is latter referred to in various literary works, including the Divine Comedy, as the demon that personifies the avarice, one of the seven deadly sins.
