A mercenary who appears in the tales of holy stones known as auracite in the distant world of Ivalice. As tensions ran high due to the outbreak of war, Gaffgarion was hired by the Order of the Northern Sky to protect Princess Ovelia en route to Eagrose. He had in fact been division commander of the Order of the Eastern Sky during the Fifty Years' War, but was expelled for the barbarism he employed to ensure his final victory. Now he serves as a superior to his comrade Ramza, who has renounced the name of his noble house.

Gaffgarion (4★) description

Gaffgarion is a summonable vision and optional playable character in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. He serves as a character representative from Final Fantasy Tactics, and has been available for summoning since the exchange event Orbonne Monastery Vaults (which originally ran in September 2016).

Gameplay[]

Gaffgarion is a 4-6★ Rare Summon available; his job is listed as Fell Knight, and his roles is Physical Damage. He originally could awaken only up to 5★, but received a new form for the Final Fantasy Tactics event In the Name of Love (which originally ran in July 2017 in the Global version). He has no innate elements or status ailments resistances. His Trust Master reward is the Bracer accessory (ATK+30, HP +15%).

Limit Burst

Night Sword (闇の剣, Yami no Tsurugi?, lit. Dark Sword) is Gaffgarion's Limit Burst. A damage-type ability, it is a 1-hit attack that deals physical damage with HP drain (100%) to a single target.

Its damage modifier will depend on Gaffgarion's LB level:

Gaffgarion has an unit-exclusive ability materia: Medicate, which he shares with Agrias. It enables them to self-remove Blind, Poison, and Silence at the cost of 6 MP. It could be purchased at King Mog's shop during Orbonne Monastery Vaults.
