The Medusa is an enemy in Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. They can inflict Petrify on a party member, so it is recommended to take them out first with strong spells and physical attacks. Carry lots of Gold Needles just in case.

Etymology[]
In Greek mythology Medusa was a monster, a Gorgon, generally described as having the face of a hideous human female with living venomous snakes in place of hair. Gazing directly upon her would turn onlookers to stone.
