TA2-HumeFighter

Template:See Also

Fighters are masters of the sword who put offense over defense.

Description

Fighter (闘士, Tōshi?) is a job class exclusive to humes in Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift which makes use of blades and is capable of inflicting heavy damage, as all of their abilities revolve around doing so, both at range and point-blank. A drawback to the Fighter is his inability to equip heavy armor.

If a Fighter wears armor that absorbs or is immune to fire, Back Draft will cause no harm to the user (Fighters can equip the Venus Blade, which absorbs fire as well). Fighters are powerful front line units with decent defenses. Learning three Fighter A-Abilities unlocks the more offensively minded Parivir.

One of the known fighters is Bowen, the leader of an elite head hunting clan named after him, House Bowen who frequently appear in clan tournaments and bear a grudge against Klesta, an oversized Cockatrice who killed Bowen's wife, Friese, and has a habit of fleeing at the brink of being slain.

Requirements

To unlock the Fighter, the player must complete the" To Be a Fighter" mission. To use the job, a character must master three Soldier A-Abilities.

Note

  • Fighters have slightly higher defense and resistance growth than Parivirs, but have lower attack and magic growth.
  • Fighters aren't as suited to be tanks like Paladins, yet they can be used perfectly as front-liners. Fighters aren't as fast as Parivirs.
  • Fighters are on par with Moogle Knights and Gladiators as they are the trio offense-defense front-liners. The Fighters average their Speed with their defense to compensate for their slow HP growth.
