The Fanatic (called Infernal Fanatic when faced in the Slaughterhouse and listed as Martyr on the Battle Schedule) is an enemy in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. A member of the Children of Etro, he is fought during Main Quest 1-5: Hunter in Light and Shadow and appears mainly in the Den of Shadows section of the Warren. Fanatics also attack Lightning if they spot her during Main Quest 1-2, and they cease to appear until the start of another playthrough after she completes her main quest in Luxerion. The Fanatics' monster notes can be bought from the South Station Plaza.

Fanatics inflict Deprotect and use physical attacks, but have no special resistances and are easily interrupted. Area-of-effect abilities work well against groups.
