The Fall of the Hideaway (隠れ家襲撃, Kakurega Shūgeki?, lit. Hideaway Attack) was an attack on Cid's Hideaway in the Year of the Realm 873 and took place simultaneously with The Fall of Drake's Head. Hugo Kupka, enraged at the death of his lover Benedikta Harman, has his men fellow Gav back to the hideaway to ascertain the location of Cidolfus Telamon where his private guard attacked the hideaway and slaughtered many of the inhabitants looking while hunting Cid, who was not present at the time. Hugo himself arrives and becomes Titan and obliterates the rest of the hideaway. Despite the Dhalmekian's bloody destruction, many of the inhabitants survived and built a second hideaway with Clive Rosfield as their leader.
