A warlock who hails from a world where the Crystals shine with light. It is said that he was born, some five centuries before the tale begins, when all malevolent souls trapped within the Great Forest of Moore took root in a single tree. He was defeated once by the Warriors of Dawn, and sealed away in the world also occupied by Bartz and his allies. But he was able to destroy the Crystals, which were weakened from overuse, and return to his former strength. His ultimate goal is to return the two split worlds to one, and seize the power of the Void, which lies in the Interdimensional Rift.

Exdeath is a summonable vision and optional playable character in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. He serves as a character representative from Final Fantasy V.

Gameplay
Exdeath is a 3-6★ Rare Summon, his job is listed as Dark Mage, and his role is Magical Damage. He originally could awaken only up to 5★, but received a new form for the Final Fantasy V event The Big Bridge. He has innate resistance to the Poison status ailment (+10%), but he is weak to the Light element (-50%). Exdeath's default attack is a 1-hit slash with his blade, the Moore Branch. His Trust Master reward is the Level 7 White Magic spell Holy.
His awakening materials are the following:
- 4★: Pearl of Wisdom x25, Esper Cryst x15, Mystic Ore x10, Farplane Dew x5, Sacred Crystal x5
- 5★: Mystic Ore x20, Farplane Dew x10, Sacred Crystal x10, God's Reliquary x5, Holy Crystal x5

Exdeath's Limit Burst receives three different names, depending on his rarity: Black Hole (ブラックホール, Burakku Hōru?), Almagest (アルマゲスト, Arumagesuto?), and Grand Cross (グランドクロス, Gurando Kurosu?). A damage and debuff-type ability, it is a 1-hit attack that deals dark-elemental magic damage to all enemies, and may inflict them with any of the eight possible status ailments: Poison, Blind, Silence, Paralyze, Confuse, Disease or Petrify. How many status ailments he inflicts depends on his rarity: he may inflict one (3★), two (4★), three (5★), or four (6★) as he attacks.
Its damage modifier and the chance of infliction will depend on Exdeath's LB level:
