The Event Theater, also known as Theater, Theater Mode, or Event Viewer, is a recurring menu feature in the Final Fantasy series that allows players to rewatch cutscenes. Some theaters only offer full motion video cutscenes, while others, mostly in portable games, offer all available cutscenes.

Final Fantasy IV[]

Event Theater in the iOS version.

The Event Theater in Final Fantasy IV features all voiced cutscenes from the 3D remake, with its first appearance in the Nintendo DS release. The Event Theater can be accessed from the Fat Chocobo.

Final Fantasy X[]

Sphere Theater in Luca.

Tracks and full-motion video cutscenes from the game can be bought and listened to in the Sphere Theater in Luca.

Final Fantasy X-2[]

Similarly to the previous game, tracks and full-motion video cutscenes from the game can be bought listened to in the Sphere Theater in Luca.

Final Fantasy XIV[]

A furnishing called "The Unending Journey" lets a player re-watch earlier cutscenes while in an inn room or player housing.

Final Fantasy Type-0[]

The Annals of Orience from the Rubicus contains all historical events pertaining to Orience, including text entries and cutscenes. Some cutscenes are bonus movies exclusive to the Rubicus and are not played during the regular game.

Dissidia Final Fantasy[]

The Theater in Dissidia contains cutscenes found within the game, and is accessible from the Museum.

Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy[]

Unlike its Dissidia counterpart, the Theater in Dissidia 012 features the cutscenes in a timeline fashion. The Theater has a Continuous Playback option, which plays every cutscene in chronological order, with the exception of the thirteenth cycle narrations and duplicate Chaos warrior death scenes in the thirteenth cycle Epilogue. The total duration of Continuous Playback is just over six and a half hours.

Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia[]

The Memoria Theatre contains cutscenes unlocked through the main scenario and Lost Chapters and organizes them into chronological order. It is accessible from the Options menu.

Theatrhythm Final Fantasy[]

The theater contains the thirteen movies that play in the background on EMS scores. More movies are unlocked by accumulating Rhythmia.

Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call[]

The Theatre allow the player to view the movies from Event Music Sequences. The further the player, the more movies they are able to view. There are 11 movies to view.

World of Final Fantasy[]

As of Patch 1.02, Theater Mode is available from the title screen and contains all of the game's cutscenes.
