An event (イベント, Ibento?) is an activity in Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis, marked by the opening of a new scenario that can be found on the Events panel over a pre-announced period of time. Events are free and do not require players to spend accumulated Crystals upon entry.

Overview[]

Event types[]

  • Side Stories: These are original stories that are initially not a part of the main Final Fantasy VII universe canon, but could be retconned in some fashion. Most contain story sections interwoven and alternated with standard missions. Missions drop typical consumables as well as Blue Crystals and exchange currency as determined by the event theme. At the midpoint of the event, an additional mission series with a variant boss and corresponding currency may be added. Co-op play is also available.
    • Seasonal Stories: Variant stories themed around holidays or other real-world events as adapted in-universe. These are also original to the game, but are not as likely to be re-adapted at a later time.
  • Dungeon Ranking: Based on regular Crisis Dungeons, players may challenge a pre-selected Crisis Dungeon on progressive difficulty levels. The party's initial insertion point may vary, but players must conquer strategically-placed enemies throughout. Each boss save the target boss will yield a selectable "Trance Effect" attribute change that applies throughout the mission; but the difficulty of each succeeding boss battle ramps up sharply. The objective is to score and rank as high as possible against other players in a player's designated group.
  • Critical Threat: A standard boss challenge with progressive difficulties available. Co-op play is also available. Rewards are obtained using a box draw.
  • Battle Quest: Players are strongly encouraged to finish a series of battles as quickly as possible, or with as high a score as possible, to obtain exchange tokens for the event shop. The layout of these events may vary.
  • Battle Ranking: Players fight pre-selected bosses under a series of preset buffs and/or handicaps in Trial mode, then move on to set their own parameters in Free Challenge mode. The higher the difficulty set by the player, the bigger and better the rewards given at the close of each fight. Players are scored and ranked against others in their assigned group, as in Dungeon Ranking events.
  • Guild Battle: A component of the Guild system, players in individual guilds work together to defeat global boss(es) at any of five difficulty levels ("Stages"). Targets have exceptionally high HP. Each player has three (3) attempts per day to battle any Stage and score as high as possible for three minutes per attempt. All guilds are scored based on the contributions of their individual members, then ranked against other guilds active during the same event. Prizes are awarded to all active members based on the guild's final rank in the event. Rewards are distributed 24 hours after the event closes.

Duration[]

Unless specified in advance, most events run from 6:00 PM PST (0200 UTC) on the date of launch and continue for two weeks thereafter. All event token exchanges and ticketed box draws remain open for an additional 1-2 days after closure.
