Energy Ray in Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy.
Energy Ray (シューティング・レイ, Shūtingu Rei?, lit. Shooting Ray), also known as Shooting Ray, is a recurring ability in the series, and is a trademark ability of the aeon Valefor. It is a weaker version of Valefor's Energy Blast.
Appearances
Edit
Final Fantasy X
Edit
Deals non-elemental damage to all enemies.
Energy Ray is the initial Overdrive for Valefor, which deals heavy non-elemental damage to all enemies. It is also an enemy ability used by Valefor (but not in the final battle), Pterya, and Dark Valefor, where it still just deals major non-elemental damage to the party. However, in Dark Valefor's case, it deals magical-based damage, making it easier to reduce the damage of the attack. All enemies that can use Energy Ray will do so without needing to have their Overdrive full.
Final Fantasy X-2
Edit
Energy Ray is an enemy ability used by Valefor, which deals major non-elemental damage to the party, albeit less than Energy Blast. Energy Ray can be used at any time without needing the Overdrive meter being full.
