In the original PlayStation 2 versions, Embroidered Tippets are sold fo 5,000 gil in Old Archades. It is also found as a treasure in Mosphoran Highwaste's Babbling Vale (near the entrance to the Skyreach Ridge; 50% chance to appear, 60% chance for gil, 50% chance the item treasure is an Embroidered Tippet without the Embroidered Tippet Map 19 Mosphoran Highwaste), and Cerobi Steppe's North Liavell Hills (50% chance to appear, 80% chance for gil, item treasure is Embroidered Tippet without the Diamond Armlet Map 04 Cerobi Steppe).

Embroidered Tippet is a rare steal from Coeurls in the Tchita Uplands; it is worth walking around there with a Steal gambit (such as Foe:100% → Steal) and a Thief's Cuffs to procure some tippets for the whole party.

Zodiac[]

In the updated Zodiac versions, the Embroidered Tippet is not sold in shops, but sells for 2,500 gil. It is found in a treasure in Nam-Yensa Sandsea's Simoon Bluff (on the top of the tower with Bagolys; is always the tippet), Feywood's Antiquity's End (25% chance to appear, but is always Embroidered Tippet), and Subterra's Penumbra - South (70% chance to appear, 80% chance for gil, 50% chance the item treasure is an Embroidered Tippet without the Diamond Armlet).

Embroidered Tippet is now a rare poach from the Coeurl in the Tchita Uplands. It may be worth setting up a gambit for poaching in this area, such as Foe:HP Critical → Poach. An easy way to set the Coeurls up for poaching is blinding a character and using Sight Unseeing.

Use[]

Embroidered Tippet is a good accessory to use to help the wearer level up faster. Only the current wearer benefits, and so it is worthwhile to get multiple tippets so the whole of active party can wear them at once, if desired.

Etymology[]

A tippet is a narrow piece of clothing worn over the shoulders.
