Ellie Ryse is a minor non-playable character in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. She is a reporter from the Mythril Eye newspaper of Ul'dah who appears in the Hildibrand storyline.

Ellie is a female midlander hyur with bluish-black hair and green eyes. She wears a silk shirt, dark brown trousers, and a feather with a cap.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn[edit | edit source]

Orphaned alongside her sister Cecy, Ellie became a reporter who passes information regarding the phantom thief's activities to the Adventurer. While her role is generally to serve as a foil to Hildibrand's buffoonery and Briardien's overconfidence, Ellie is eventually revealed to be the mastermind behind the phantom thief, revealed to be Cecy. Ellie and her sister are later revealed to be gathering four special items after their family had been wronged by Ul'dah. Though arrested after her gang of zombies were pacified by Hildibrand and his Gentlemen of Light, seeing the artifacts' magic through him, Ellie expresses feelings towards Briardien.
