Turns the power of nature spirits into magic

Description

Elementalist is a job in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. Available to viera, Elementalists use the power of the elements to deal elemental damage and perhaps inflict a status ailment. Out of all of the viera jobs, Elementalist is second best for well-rounded leveling up, but it has a far lower overall stat range to the Assassin.

Growth[]

The Elementalist is the viera's mid-tier magic job. Their stats are almost identical to the Red Mage, although the Elementalist has higher MP, slightly higher Magic Power, and slightly lower Speed.

Overview[]

Skilled in physical and magical combat, the Elementalist is a nice all-around job whose abilities are comparable to Ninja's, both using ranged status effect magic. Elementalists provide ranged magic support while also sporting some healing abilities. The Elementalist class is required to access the Summoner and Assassin classes. Due to being so well-rounded, Elementalists will only ever be about average. They won't deal outstanding damage or have amazing speed and lack area damage abilities and rapiers are not among the stronger weapons in the game. Overall, Elementalist is a good all-around class able to handle physical combat and use some support magic and serves as a vital part on the class routes to Assassin and Summoner.

Since Elementalists are so average, their enemy variants can be beaten by units more specialized in offense or support than they are. Like Ninjas, their status magic can be annoying, but Elementalists are not as fast or strong. They can have some healing abilities, but it's nothing that offensive units would not be able to outwork. Defensive units able to cure themselves have little to fear from Elementalists.

Elementalists cannot use staves despite wielding one in their official artwork.
