Element is a magic ability in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII that deals magic damage in all four elements—fire, ice, wind and lightning.

Element Lv. 4 is the locked action for the Mist Wizard+ garb obtained from the Ark on Day 13.
An Element Lv. 2 can be found in a treasure sphere located in the upper levels of the War Cage within Temple of the Goddess.
The ability can also be obtained as a drop from the Gremlin Ω and Arcangeli enemies. The former enemy will always drop the spell with a 100% chance, while the latter have a 20% drop rate. The enemies drop the different levels of the ability on the following days and difficulties:

Mechanics[]
Element launches the four basic elemental magics at a single target, dealing fire-, ice-, lightning-, and wind-elemental damage. It has an ATB cost of 20, while having a power of 0.10 for each spell (0.40 in total). It has a Stagger Power rating of C and Stagger Time rating of E. When fully upgraded, Element Lv.5 can have an ATB cost of 15, an attack power of 0.88 (3.84 in total), a Stagger Power of C, and a Stagger Time of E. The locked Element for the Mist Wizard+ garb cannot be upgraded.
