Earthen Wall (アースウォール, Āsu Wōru?), also known as Earth Wall and Erth Wall, is a recurring ability in the Final Fantasy series. It is the trademark ability of the Golem, and generally protects a user from taking any physical damage up to the user's Maximum HP.

Final Fantasy V[]

Earthen Wall is the ability of Golem, and protects the party equal to the following formula:

Wall~HP = (20 + Level) \times 50

It applies to the whole party, not each character. It costs 18 MP to use.

Final Fantasy VI[]

Earthen Wall is the ability of Golem, which protects the party from physical attacks equal to the caster's HP when the ability is used at the cost of 33 MP.

Final Fantasy Tactics[]

Earthen Wall is the ability of Golem and protects the party from all non-beast type physical attacks equal to the summoner's Max HP. It can be reused to reset the ability back to the caster's Max HP. It costs 40 MP to use, a speed of 34, and affects all party members of the caster's current side regardless of where they are.
