Oh, shut up and help me remodel the Dream Within a Dream (Mobius) page!
Dream Within a Dream was a timed event for Mobius Final Fantasy in collaboration with Final Fantasy X. It consisted of five parts that were released between August 1, 2018 and October 8, 2018. This event was co-developed by the original creators of Final Fantasy X, including: Motomu Toriyama, Yoshinori Kitase and Daisuke Watanabe.
Content[]
The event contained:
- A brand new story for Tidus that takes place between the events of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2.
- New competitive Battle Tower modes: FFX Blitzball, Yojimbo, the Blade of Vengeance and A Lonely Dream.
- New online Sicarius battles for the Ring of Braves: Valefor and Yojimbo.
- New jobs and ability cards.
Story[]
After the events of Final Fantasy X, the story starts with Tidus finding himself in a new world called Palamecia where he the protagnist, Wol. Tidus is surprised that this world is not the Farplane as he was expecting, and Wol assure him it's not. Although, to Wol's surprise, Tidus seems to remember his past unlike the other blanks - except for his name. Wol gives him a Blitzball that he found beside him, and there is a name on it: Tidus. And from here, Tidus starts exploring Palamecia under Wol's guidance.
Jobs[]
New jobs were added across different batches:
- Tidus (Type: Ultimate Hero Ranger Job): Tidus as a playable charactrer. Blitz Ace ∞ is is Ultimate Ability.
- Legendary Guardian (Type: Legend Warrior Job): This job is based on Auron's design. Tornado is its Ultimate Ability.
- Ascetic (Type: EX Monk Job): This job is limited-time and exclusive to Mobius Final Fantasy. Sacred Expulsion is its Ultimate Ability.
- Proud Cygnus (Type: Ranger Job): This job can only be used by Sarah. Northern Cross is its Ultimate Ability.
- Al Bhed Huntress (Type: Legend Breaker Job): This job can only be used by Sarah. Chaos Grenade is its Ultimate Ability.
