Dragon Dive (ドラゴンダイブ, Doragon Daibu?), also known as Dragonfire Dive, is a recurring ability in the Final Fantasy series. It is often a Limit Break move associated with Cid Highwind.

Final Fantasy VII[]
Dragon Dive is a level 3 Limit Break for Cid. When activated, Cid will attack six random enemies with jumping attacks and has a 28% chance of inflicting Instant Death. To learn the Limit Break, Cid must kill 76 enemies when on Limit Level 2.
Final Fantasy XIV[]
Dragonfire Dive is a Dragoon ability available after completing the "Into the Dragon's Maw" job quest at Level 50. The ability delivers a fire-elemental jump attack with a potency of 250 to a target and all nearby enemies.
In addition, Dragoons have access to an exclusive Level 3 limit break called Dragonsong Dive (蒼天のドラゴンダイブ, Sōten no Doragon Daibu?, lit. Azure Dragon Dive). Like other level 3 Melee limit breaks, the ability executes a single target attack with a potency of 9000. In reference to Cid Highwind's limit break, once the player completes the limit break's starting animation, the Dragoon will jump onto the enemy and unleash a large pillar of blue light to engulf the enemy.

Description
Dragon Dive is an special ability currently exclusive to Kain. Similar to Jump, Dragon Dive deals physical damage (2.1x) to a single target after a turn delay; it costs 13 MP to use and, while on the air, the unit is invulnerable. Kain (5★) learns Dragon Dive at Level 80.
