The Dragon is a non-player character from Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light. The dragon is the only method of aerial transportation within the game. It is the last of its kind, due to the fact the mother dragon was killed.
Story[]
The Dragon is first mentioned by Rekoteh in Invidia when Brandt and Jusqua are looking for a way to reach Spelvia. Rekoteh tells the two that they must hatch the dragon egg in town to fly to Spelvia. The group examines the egg and determines either the Firaga spell or a Mythril Hammer may hatch it. The items they obtained showed no results and the group is forced to go get the Dragon Harp.
The party goes into the Invidia Underground and obtain the Dragon Harp. The group plays the Dragon Harp and hatch the dragon. When the dragon is hatched, it mistakes Brandt for its mother. After, the dragon flies the three to Spelvia. After the party defeats Rolan, they may ride the dragon on the world map.
Musical themes[]
The Dragon's main musical theme is "Riding on the Dragon" (ドラゴンに乗って, Doragon ni notte?). The track can be found in the original soundtrack as Track 27 and is composed by Naoshi Mizuta.
