Dragon's Crest IX

Dragon's Crest in Final Fantasy IX.

Deals physical damage to the enemy.

Final Fantasy IX description

Dragon's Crest (竜の紋章, Ryū no Monshō?) is a recurring ability in the Final Fantasy series, used exclusively by Freya Crescent.

Appearances[]

Final Fantasy IX[]

Dragon's Crest is part of Freya's Dragon skillset, and grows in power as the party defeats dragon-type enemies. Freya doesn't have to be in the party for Dragon's Crest's power to increase; dragons that were defeated before Freya learns it count as well. Killing only 100 dragons will power it up to its maximum 9999 damage.

Dragon's Crest requires 45 AP to learn from the Holy Lance and Kain's Lance. It costs 16 MP to use. It is potentially one of the strongest attacks in the game, tied with Zidane's Thievery, Beatrix and Steiner's Shock, and Quina's Frog Drop, as it ignores the target's defense as well as the Protect status.
