Description
The Djinn Staff is a weapon for Sonon in "Episode INTERmission" in Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. It teaches the Incite ability, similar in function to Provoke Materia, but operating on an ATB cost instead of a timed cooldown. It is learned faster by drawing an enemy's attention for three attacks while Incite is active.
The Djinn Staff slightly favors Magic Attack over Attack Power, and boosts Sonon's elemental damage, making it his best weapon for spellcasting and for using ninjutsu when synergized with Yuffie. It also allows him to automatically cure detrimental status effects inflicted on his partner. Sonon could be given Ribbon so he stays immune to ailments while remaining able to restore Yuffie, while she can boost her damage with Chthonian Armlet + Gozu Drive setup. Ribbon would also allow Sonon to withstand interruption while spellcasting, important when drawing enemies' ire. However, despite the slight magical focus, Djinn Staff is Sonon's slowest weapon to gain materia slots.

In "The Scent of Materia" during Chapter 2, "Covert Ops", Yuffie and Sonon come across an Armored Magitrooper who comes down on an elevator. With the Magitrooper defeated, following the path to a corridor in the top-right of the map finds a purple chest that contains a djinn staff for Sonon.

When Djinn Staff is fully upgraded, Sonon also gains +12 to his maximum MP.
