Final Fantasy[edit | edit source]
Diaja (HRM4 on the NES and Dia4 in Final Fantasy Origins) is a level 7 White Magic spell. The spell inflicts a massive amount of damage against all undead enemies. It has no effect on other types of enemies. In the NES and Origins releases, it inflicts between 80 and 320 damage, while in subsequent releases it inflicts damage depending on the caster's Intelligence. With either version, it is only very slightly less powerful than Holy in terms of base damage.
The spell can be bought in Gaia and can only be learned by the White Wizard. In the GBA/PSP/iOS releases it costs 35 MP to cast.

Etymology[edit | edit source]
Dia means "day" in Portuguese and Spanish.
In ancient Greek religion and folklore, Dia means "heavenly", "divine", or "she who belongs to Zeus". The name is attributed to several figures and treated like an honorific or title.
