Dia II is an Enfeebling White Magic spell from Final Fantasy XI. It is the second tier of Dia spells for players.

Obtained

Dia II can be used by Red Mages from level 31 and White Mages from level 36. It can be learned from the Scroll of Dia II, which is sold by merchants in Selbina and Windurst Waters for about 10,080 to 11,648 gil.

Use

An upgrade of the spell Dia, it lowers an enemy's Defense and also deals gradual Light-elemental damage. It uses 30 MP to cast, takes 1.5 seconds to cast, and 6 for subsequent casting.

Like other Dia spells, it overwrites all other Bio and Dia spells that players can cast.

Trust party members such as Koru-Moru and the King of Hearts can use Dia II once the player is above level 35.

Etymology

In ancient Greek religion and folklore, Dia means "heavenly", "divine", or "she who belongs to Zeus". The name is attributed to several figures and treated like an honorific or title.
