Deudalaphon is a character from Final Fantasy XIV who has been mentioned but not shown in-game.

In the world unsundered, Deudalaphon served on the Convocation of Fourteen as the appraiser of architecture and patron of invention.[1] Following A Realm Reborn, their Ascian mask came to be in the possession of the Shadowhunter, Gaius Baelsar.[2]

Etymology[]

Deudalaphon was named after Deudalephon the Benevolent, the scion of light in opposition to Adrammelech, the Wroth from Final Fantasy XII. In light of their Japanese name being more akin to "Deudalphon", the derivation is probably from Sandalphon (הַנְדַּלְפוֹן/Ī£Ī±Ī½Ī“Ī±Ī»Ļ†ĻŽĪ½), a high-ranking cherub attested during the Hellenistic Era.
