Desert Sahagin is a enemy in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII found in the desert of the Dead Dunes. At night their eyes change to blue without a visible pupil. Their monster notes can be bought from the adventuring essentials at the Giant's Sandbox.
Desert Sahagins can appear alone or in groups up to three. They can also appear alongside other enemies on the desert, such as Gorgonopsids.
When submerged in the sand, they use Rush and charge at Lightning, launching her into the air if she is not guarding. Perfect-guarding against Rush staggers the Desert Sahagin. When staggered, the sahagin will momentarily flop on the surface of the sand, unable to attack. During nights, the sahagins don't swim in the sand and have an attack that fires projectiles at Lightning instead.
Strategy[]
When the sahagins are swimming in the sand, guarding against Rush is the best way to stagger them. Using wind-attacks is useful.
