Delay Buster (ディレイバスター, Direi Basutā?) is an ability in Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2. It delays the target's next turn.

Final Fantasy X[edit | edit source]

Delay Buster is a skill affecting the specific number of turns within the Act List. It appears within Tidus's section of the Sphere Grid. It inflicts strong Delay, moving the next opponent's next turns down the Act List greatly, and costs 18 MP to use.

Final Fantasy X-2[edit | edit source]

Delay Buster appears as an ability for the Warrior dressphere. It completely resets the opponents ATB gauge, costing 120 AP to learn and 16 MP to use.

The word "buster" means a person who breaks up something, e.g. crime busters, or something big or unusual for its kind. It derives from the verb "bust".
