A deity of death, attacks with Condemned. When he goes, he'll try to take you with him by using Doom.
Final Fantasy VI PlayStation Bestiary entry
The Death Warden, also known as the Allo Ver, is a set encounter in Final Fantasy VI. It attacks as a monster-in-a-box boss in the Cave on the Veldt.
Stats[]
Battle[]
Death Warden casts Death frequently, and its special attack, Dead End, also inflicts death. It is weak to Fire. It drops the Tigerfang when defeated, the strongest weapon for Sabin short of his Advance and 2014 version exclusive Godhand.
Strategy[]
It is helpful to bring along Gau and have him use the Lich or any other undead Rage, immunizing him to death. The Lich Rage works best because it can use Fira as its secondary attack. As with all undead enemies, the Death Warden can be defeated instantly by using a Phoenix Down on it.
Rage[]
Though Death Warden has a Rage, it does not appear on the Veldt due to a programming error, so Gau cannot learn the Rage without the use of cheating devices. This error was somewhat fixed in the Advance and 2014 versions; the battle in the Cave on the Veldt still uses the wrong enemy formation, but the fight in the new Soul Shrine uses the correct one, allowing him to appear on the Veldt.
