Deadly Nightshade is a plant/mandragora-type enemy in Final Fantasy XII found in the Feywood. The player can initially find them on their way through Golmore Jungle by heading south to Feywood, but they might be too hard to defeat then. They can be rarely poached into the Ring of Renewal.

In the Zodiac versions, eight of them are also fought in the Trial Mode's Stage 22 alongside a Topstalk.

Etymology

Deadly nightshade is the common name for atropa belladonna, a perennial herbaceous plant whose foliage and berries are extremely toxic and cause a bizarre delirium and hallucinations. Witches were believed to use a mixture of deadly nightshade, opium poppy and other plants in making flying ointment.
