Dauid is a non-playable character from Final Fantasy XIV. He is the founder and proprietor of Angrbotha Apparel and Accoutrements. Dauid is a minor antagonist during the Leatherworker quests in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.
History[]
Dauid founded Angrbotha Apparel and Accoutrements and began competing with the renowned Fen-Yll Fineries by counterfeiting their products. Dauid would tell his customers that they were Gradanian leatherworkers making them believe that they were buying products from Fen-Yll Fineries. Eventually the counterfeit products began to cause a series of problems for the Leatherworkers' Guild.[1]
Angrbotha made several Fen-Yll members leave the guild to work for them, thus overloading Geva Storke with work. The recent troubles have convinced Geva to forgo this year's exhibition in favor of devoting the guild's limited resources to filling the commissions of its clients. One of the clients turns out to be Dauid. Not content with belittling Geva and his work, he even offers the Warrior of Light a job. Incensed by Dauid's words, Geva bids Warrior of Light represent the Leatherworkers' Guild at the upcoming exhibition. The Warrior of Light triumphs in the competition. As soon as the competition is over, Dauid is arrested by the Wood Wailers who were investigating the forgeries.[2]
