Dark Shield (あんこくのたて, Ankoku no Tate?, lit. Darkness Shield), also known as Darkness Shield and Shadow, is a recurring shield in the Final Fantasy series.

Dark Shield is the initial shield for Dark Knight Cecil. It provides 1 Defense, 22 Evade, and 1 Magic Evade.
In the 3D remakes, it provides immunity to Toad, Mini, and Pig as well as resistance to Holy-elemental attacks.

Dark Shield is a dummied armor, and would have provided 1 Defense.

In Bravely Default, Dark Shield is a high-ranked shield that provides 30 P.DEF, 15 M.DEF, 28 Evade, and nullifies damage from Dark-elemental attacks. It can be found in the Everlast Tower (4F).
In Bravely Second: End Layer, Dark Shield is a shield that provides 40 P.DEF, 20 M.DEF, and 28 EVD. It can be found in the Geneolgia Crypts.
