Oh, shut up and help me remodel the Dark Knight (Final Fantasy III) page!
- making a 2D and 3D weapon/armor table like here. Equipment stats do not belong here since the weapons/armor should link to their respectable list of Final Fantasy III weapon/armor page..
This request can be discussed on the associated discussion page. Remove this notice upon completion.

The Dark Knight (まけんし, Makenshi?, lit. Demon Swordsman" or "Magic Swordsman) is a Job class obtained from the Water Crystal in Final Fantasy III. They are trained to harness the negative energies that flow throughout the world. The dark blades they wield are very effective against monsters that divide and multiply. In the original NES release of the game, the Dark Knight could cast White Magic similar to a Paladin.

3D Versions
- Special Ability - Souleater
The Dark Knight sacrifices 20% its current HP to attack all enemies, which can be useful for defeating enemies who multiply, and is at full damage no matter whether the Dark Knight is in front/back row. It can be used as a way to dispatch multiple enemies at once, but will not as useful for the bosses and later dungeons the party face. Souleater's maximum damage will reach 11350+.
Its damage is calculated using the following formula:
- Damage Inflicted = Weapon Attack x 5 + JobLv x 10 + Current HP x 0.9
