Dark Cindy is an optional boss in the International, PAL, and HD Remaster versions of Final Fantasy X encountered at Mushroom Rock Road after obtaining the Fahrenheit. She can be fought together with her sisters, Dark Sandy and Dark Mindy, or alone if the player manages to escape her, defeat the other two sisters, and come back.

Stats[]

Battle[]

FFX Mega-Graviton

Mega-Graviton.

Dark Cindy's regular attacks are powerful and remove several status enhancements: Auto-Life, Haste, NulAll, Protect, Reflect, Regen and Shell. When she is alone, her Overdrive is Mega-Graviton, which deals 43.75% of all characters' maximum HP, and is considered magical damage. It causes several status ailments: Doom, Slow, Sleep (for 99 turns), Darkness (for 99 turns) and Silence (for 99 turns).

FFX Camisade EA

Camisade.

Dark Cindy's special attack is Camisade, which deals 116,554 to 131,609 HP worth of physical damage, meaning it can be cut with physical buffs and Def+% auto-abilities.

When she is with her sisters, the trio will use their deadly Delta Attack, executed only by Dark Cindy, which always deals 99,999 damage per hit (6 total) and removes Auto-Life from the player party. Dark Cindy's Overdrive gauge increases by 5% when targeted and 20% when using a physical attack or Camisade.

Strategy[]

It helps if the entire party has Accuracy, Agility, Strength, and Defense at 255, and Luck at 80 or higher. As long as she is fought alone, Cindy is easy to defeat. If the party has the Auto-Phoenix armor ability, they will not have much trouble.

Another strategy when fighting her alone is to have at least two characters with Auto-Phoenix and Ribbon, make sure all three party members have high stats, and are all hitting for 99,999 damage. Dark Cindy has no Evasion, so regular attacks are guaranteed to hit. Auto-Phoenix will keep all members alive, seeing as Dark Cindy's regular attacks target a single character, and Ribbon will protect two characters from the status ailments of Mega-Graviton, allowing them to heal the unprotected character. Auto-Haste is not necessary, but will allow more turns.

When fighting all three sisters at once, doublecasting Ultima deals a lot of damage to all of them at once. Magus Sisters always use Delta Attack as their opening move when fought together, so the player will need to summon an aeon to take the hit by getting to act first with First Strike. Cindy is always the one to activate Delta Attack, when their limit gauge is full, so taking out her first is advisable.

As with any other enemy, Dark Cindy can be killed instantly by Yojimbo's Zanmato attack, along with the other Dark Magus Sisters if the player fights more than one of them.
