Dark Armor (あんこくのよろい, Ankoku no Yoroi?, lit. Darkness Armor), also known as Dark Harness, Shadow and Black, is a recurring armor in the series.

Dark Armor is the starting armor for Dark Knight Cecil. It provides 5 Defense, 1 Magic Defense, and -10 Evasion. In the 3D remakes, it now provides just 5 Defense and 1 Magic Defense.
On the Easy Type version, Dark Armor provides 5 Defense, 2 Magic Defense, and -10 Evasion.
Final Fantasy IV: The After Years

Dark Armor is a dummied armor that would have provided 5 Defense and Magic Defense +1. Nobody is able to equip it, however.

Dark Armor is a level 2 exclusive armor for Cecil, which provides +428 HP and is 1/3rd of the "Power of Darkness" set.

Dark Armor returns as a level 1 exclusive armor for Cecil, which provides +950 HP, -18 Bravery, and is 1/3rd of the "Dark Force" set. It can be obtained from the shop by trading 3,300 gil, Bronze Armor, Figaro Gravel, and Knight's Desire x2.
