Creature Creator[]

Daeva plays a central role in unlocking the Fiend World Cup, as capturing it is the first step. Once Chapter 3 has begun, the player can capture Daeva with a Trap pod M in Kilika.

According to Shinra, the Daeva brought to the Fiend Arena is no ordinary Daeva: it has no life readings, its age is 0, and it was never a human, but was born a pure-blood fiend. Further analysis makes Shinra think the monster is not from Spira and is also analyzing the Gullwings. In battle, it is a powerful caster, starting off with spells such as Haste and Firaga, as well as the Ailment Def. and Total Limit Break auto-abilities. It will eventually learn its most powerful spell, Thanatos Emblem, which damages all enemies and inflicts All Break.

Daeva has three story levels, requiring only two level ups to complete its fiend tale. In the fiend tale ending, Daeva disappears, making Shinra think it self-destructed to prevent further analysis. However, the fiend returns shortly, having evolved into Aka Manah.

Fiend Tale[]

ANALYSIS FAILED

Fiend has no life readings!

Shinra Analysis:
Something's wrong. This is no ordinary daeva. Age thought to be zero, a newborn. A breed very similar to daeva, but... I don't sense any human memories from it. Could it have been born a fiend... ? Impossible!
ANALYSIS FAILED

Fiend has no life readings!

Shinra Analysis:
No amount of analysis is providing answers. This fiend appears to not be part of Spira. Furthermore, IT seems to be analyzing US.
