'Never underestimate a monster'. So warned an old man with many caravans under his belt. I was grateful for his counsel, even before I set off, but I have since seen things that surpassed my worst fears. I can only hope he was speaking of this place. If not, what greater horror could possibly await us?
Narration, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
The Daemon's Court (デーモンズ・コート, Dēmonzu Kōto?) is a castle from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles near the Fields of Fum and home to the continent's Lizardmen population. Filled with traps, snares, and various critters, Daemon's Court consists of a courtyard and an inner sanctum wherein dwells the T-Rexaur-sized Lizardman King, bedecked with painful pneumatic weaponry.
Appearance
The court is surrounded by stone walls, with many wooden walkways and canvas tents within. Nothing is paved; the floor is dirt, and there is no roof. At its center is a smaller, enclosed area with a very elaborate gate in the shape of a monster's face. Two keys are required to open it, and within is a Roman-style coliseum, where the caravan fights the Lizardman King.
