Final Fantasy VI PlayStation Bestiary entry
The Daedalus, also known as the Didalos, is an enemy in Final Fantasy VI. It is found in the Gold Dragon's and Guardian's rooms in the final dungeon, with 6/16 chance of encounter against a 10/16 chance of Ahriman's encounter.
Stats[]
Battle[]
It uses a variety of powerful magic attacks, including Gravity, Bio, Lv.5 Death, and can Poison party members with Venomist. As with most undead enemies, Daedalus is weak to Fire and Holy, so Firaga and Holy work well.
Daedalus never uses its Venom Tusk attack, rendering it a dummied feature.
Coliseum setup[]
The player can place Mog in the back row to mitigate damage, and equip the Paladin's Shield/Flame Shield, Snow Scarf, Reflect Ring, and Safety Bit. The Paladin Shield/Flame Shield will take care of Flare Star and Dancing Flame; Snow Scarf, along with an appropriate helmet, will bring Mog to 255 Defense, which will take care of physical attacks. Safety Bit will take care of Blaster, while Reflect Ring will take care of Flare. Holy Lance is a good offensive weapon for hitting Daedalus's weakness. Daedalus also has relatively low MP, so it will run out quickly, preventing it from abusing Flare.
